The Bodyguard

Chapter 19

"I'm scared, Kellen." She mumbled. I knew she would be. I placed a kiss on her forehead.

"I know baby, but I need you to stay strong for me okay? You gotta trust that I wouldn't let anything happen to you." I smirked looking down at her. She looked up at me with those beautiful brown eyes and smiled back.

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

"You know I'm right, now show me some love girl." She leaned up and pecked my lips. I looked at her sideways before capturing her lips in mine. She let out a soft groan as I spilled my tongue in her mouth and deepened the kiss. I rolled over onto my back and she climbed on top of me. 

"You better stop before you start something you can't finish girl," I whispered against her lips.

"Whatever boy, you know you can't handle all this." she shot back, sitting up and placing her hands on my chest. 

"Oh really? 'Cause I recall you hollering 'oh Kellen I can't take it baby. oh it's too big, it's too much, it's too strong Daddy, it won't fit." I mocked her in a high pitch girly tone.

She playfully smacked me upside the head. 

"Quit playin' that be you all like 'oh Ivy, damn Ivy, that shit feel so good girl. MMmmm'" she mocked me in this deep ugly ass voice. I fell over laughing at her ass. I swear this girl plays too much. 

"I don't sound like that." I laughed.

"Oh, but you do boy!" she laughed back.

I grabbed both of her hands in mine and smiled up at her. 

"I'm glad to see you smiling, baby. I know G ain' raise you to be no punk." 

"You make me smile," she said pinching my cheeks. "But no, you're right. Daddy raised me to be strong. Speaking of him have you heard from him lately?" she asked.

This was a conversation I was hoping to avoid having. I didn't want to come out and tell her I suspected G had set us up, but she needed to know sooner or later.

"Nah, actually I haven't. How 'bout you call everybody ova hea, we got some business to discuss."

Without saying another word, she climed out the bed and went to grab her phone to make the phone calls. A few minutes later, there was a knock at our door. I got up from the bed and opened the door to reveal Aria, Caya, CJ and Snipe. I stepped to the side to let them all in. Once everyone was gathered in the living room, I took a deep breath before speaking.

"So I'm just gonna come out and say what everyone has been thinking, someone is crossing us." Everybody slowly nodded their heads. "The one thing we need to figure out is who. Who would gain the most by doing so?"

"Nami," Caya quickly answered.

Ivy shook her head. "But Nami had no idea we were up there. I haven't spoken to her since that day at Tilly's and you weren't aware either so I know you couldn't have told her."

I nodded, agreeing with Ivy. Nami wouldn't be able to pull off something like that.

I cleared my throat before speaking. "I don't even want to be suggesting this, but G hasn't been answering the phone since the house burned down."

Everyone looked at me in disbelief. Hell, I couldn't even believe I'd said it either.

"How f*cking dare you accuse my father of trying to kill me Kellen!" Ivy shouted, standing to her feet. "That's foul and you know it!"

I stood up and reached out to grab her hands. "Baby, I know it sounds bad. I don't even want to be accusing him of some shit like that, but look around Ivanna. Where is he at?"

She snatched her hands away from me and walked away shaking her head.

"How do I know it's not you, huh Kellen? You just pop up out of nowhere pretending to be this bodyguard that's supposed to protect me but everytime your ass disappears something happens to me! Maybe you're the one we should be watching out for!" she screamed before storming off.

I was taken aback at everything she'd just said. I didn't really think G had set us up, but I was just trying to consider every possibility. Never in my life would I imagine Ivy would say some foul shit like that to me though. I love that girl entirely too much to even think about harming a hair on her head. I started to chase after her, but Snipe grabbed me back.

"Just give her some time." He said. I reluctantly sat back down in my seat feeling defeated.

"I don't think G would do this. He's looked out for every last one of us at some point in time, he wouldn't gain anything by crossing us. And I don't think you're guilty either Yungblood." Snipe reasoned.

I put my head down inbetween my hands and let out a deep sigh. This shit was stressing me out. I just wanted to get to the bottom of this and murk the nigga so we could move on with our lives.

"That only leaves one person then," Caya whispered. I looked up at her wondering who she was talking about. By this time Ivy had sat back down on the couch, but I could tell that she had been crying.

"Who?" Aria asked, speaking for the first time since we'd been in this room.

"Smoke."

We all looked at one another unsure of her accusation.

"It makes sense," she stood up and started pacing the room. "first he cheats with Nami, he's always taking calls in another room, he comes home at all times of the night."

"Yeah, but that just means he could be out cheating, Nami." I said.

"Wait, let me see a picture of this Smoke character," Aria asked.

Caya pulled out her phone and played with it before turning it around to Aria. It was a picture Caya took of CJ and Smoke a few weeks back. Aria's eyes grew wide as she stared at the photo in front of her.

"When I was worked at the nail shop with Nami we worked for two brothers, they called themselves El Diablo. There father ran the business before them, but he had been killed by a rival about 2 years before I joined them. That was about 6 years ago.

That guy in the picture is Chrestano Reed, King's younger brother."

DUN DUN DUNNN! Did y'all see that coming ?? So Smoke has been playing both sides all along. Ain't that some shit. How do you guys feel about Ivy accusing Kellen of setting them up? Was she wrong for saying that or no? Was Kellen wrong for accusing G? Speaking of .. where is G?
