Summary:
"In every breakup, there will always be a reason."
Brad O'Connor never got a reason why his girlfriend broke up with him. All he got were 'the words', that left him flustered and depressed. To get out of his state of distress, Brad wants to win her back. For him to win her back, he has to figure out the reason for the breakup.
Add in some blunt situations, a fake couple, instructions to fix a broken heart, and a lot of idiotic banter, you'll have yourself the Breakup Theory.
