Those very words made Skeeter's heart sink, he knew that those were the last words that Priscilla said before leaving and abandoning them forever.
Take care of Doodles for me, Skeeter my dearest damn friend! That is what Priscilla last said before she left, and from the only closure that both Skeeter and Lydia has ever gotten, "Lydia, please, I have to take care of the dog while you're gone?"
"I know something bad is going to happen to me, so, Doodles needs care when I am gone, we all have dealt with the stress and burden when Priscilla left, so, you can handle the pressure by yourself, right?" Lydia sighed.
"Sure." Skeeter's face then contorted to a smile.
"Good, now, I should probably start packing." Lydia then walked inside with her cup of mocha cappuccino.

Two Days Later...
16 May 2021
Lydia was already ready to leave her home behind. She had this gut feeling that she'd never return home, so, she didn't make any promises to her friend. She didn't want to hurt Skeeter emotionally. She didn't want to make the same mistake as Priscilla on promising she'll return, but never returning because of circumstances outside her control.
She already had her car packed and she wanted to make sure that everything was going to be fine. Skeeter had Doodles on a leash and was standing right in front of her, "Doodles just wants some lovin's before you leave."
"Okay, Doodles, I know that it's such a hard time, but Skeeter is going to be there with you, and I'll be with you in spirit." Lydia sighed, crouching to pet Doodles for one last time, the dog was panting and loved getting the attention he wanted.
Lydia then moved her hand away from Doodles before heading straight towards the driver's seat, Doodles was obviously getting upset at the fact that Lydia was leaving, perhaps for good.
Lydia then opened her car door, dat down and started the car, she had an idea on what music she should play. She decided to play some rock music because that helps her think about the good memories she had with Priscilla. She then waved goodbye to both Skeeter and Doodles, who was howling like crazy. Lydia the pulled out of the driveway and began to head towards the direction of the address that was given to her by Craig... and pretty much 33 others as well.
Lydia had her cup of coffee, especially inside of a disposable one because she didn't want to use her special coffee cup, which she packed, for the time being. She had all the necessities, her books, and her phone with her. She knew that she was going to be gone for a while, perhaps forever, as she was now leaving Deerville and about to pass a lonely log cabin, she noticed that the sheds door is opened and there was old, dried up blood and what's left of the rotting puree of organs, some carnivore ate it when it was looking around in the woods.
Of course, the very sight of gore made Lydia sick, as she felt nauseous. Fortunately, there was a convenience store nearby and she parked there, entered to go to the bathroom and vomited inside of the toilet before washing up and flushing the vomit inside of the toilet.
Lydia then returned to driving towards that dome... as she was approaching Barkfield. Of course, the layout of the town was way different from Deerville, or even Elkwood, which she visited once and did a presentation for Brenda Evans and her classmates (yes, Elkwood is in the same universe as Deerville and Barkfield, but as stated in TNT itself, TNT takes place in an alternate universe). Taller buildings, nicer homes, even better vegetation that Deerville doesn't have... it kind of reminded her of the perfect, yet oblivious, neighborhood that she, Priscilla and Skeeter lived in, but extended to a whole damn town. She also took notice of a pink flower planted in the flower beds.
