118. And That Makes Twelve

Start from the beginning

Saw, holding Sack, looked down at the baby with a mixture of awe and tenderness. "He's so precious," she said softly.

Bladey and Thread watched eagerly, their anticipation building. Gaty noticed their excitement and knelt down beside them. "You two are doing so well. It won't be long now until it's your turn."

After a few moments, Needle and Saw returned the twins to Barf Bag and Donut, who then turned to Bladey and Thread. "Okay, girls, it's your turn now," Donut said, smiling.

The girls quickly but carefully sat down on the couch, their hands placed neatly in their laps. Barf Bag and Donut each handed one of the babies to them, making sure they were secure.

Bladey's eyes sparkled as she held Sack. "Hi, Sack. I'm going to take good care of you and play with you."

Thread, holding Sprinkle, smiled warmly. "I'm your big cousin, Thread. We're going to have so much fun together."

The adults watched with pride and joy, seeing how tenderly the girls interacted with the twins. It was a heartwarming sight, the beginning of a new, beautiful chapter for the family.

Just as the house couldn't get anymore peaceful, Dimey woke up from his nap, his toddler nosies moving throughout the house.

Needle chuckled, "Perfect timing! I'll go get him and see what he thinks of his new cousins!"

Needle gently handed Sprinkle back to Barf Bag and made her way to Dimey's room. The others continued to coo over the twins, their tiny faces peering up curiously at all the new people.

"Dimey," Needle called softly as she entered the room. The little boy sat up, rubbing his eyes sleepily. "Guess what? Your new cousins are here!"

Dimey didn't seem to understand what her mother was saying, and just started babbling as Needle picked him up.

Once they made their way downstairs, Dimey got his first look at the twins. Almost immediately, his eyes widened at the sight of the babies. The whole family got a good laugh at Dimey's priceless reaction to the babies.

"That's right, Dimey!" Needle exclaimed, bringing him down to Barf Bag and Donut who were holding the twins,r "Meet Sprinkle and Sack!"

Right as the team thought Dimey was excited to have two little cousins, he proved them otherwise. "No!" he said nice and clearly, pointing directly at Sprinkle and Sack.

The whole room burst into laughter, finding Dimey's direct disapproval of the twins to be absolutely hilarious.

"Looks like someone knows he's not the baby of the family anymore," Pin said.

Dimey, however, didn't find it funny at all, and continued to point at the two babies, "No, no, no!" With his high pitched toddler voice, almost no one could take him seriously.

"Well, you heard him," Coiny said, joking around, "I guess you have to give them back, Barf Bag and Donut!"

Barf Bag laughed at Coinys comment, "I'm sure he'll warm up to them soon enough."

"Maybe let him get a closer look at them," Gaty suggested, "I think he's just a little freaked out."

Needle was open to the idea. "Let's see what happens, shall we?" She placed Dimey down as he stumbled over to the couch, where Barf Bag and Donut were with the twins. Donut gently guided his hand over to Sprinkle's little hand. Upon seeing Dimey, Sprinkle took his hand and wrapped it around one of his fingers.

"Look, see?" Donut said, "He likes you already."

Dimey found what Sprinkle did to be fascinating, so he went over to Barf Bag, who was holding Sack, and he wrapped his hand around one of his fingers.

Dimey's eyes widened in amazement as he felt Sack's tiny grip on his finger. The room watched in anticipation, holding their breath to see Dimey's reaction.

Dimey looked up at Needle, his face breaking into a wide smile. "Okay, they can stay." he exclaimed, his initial resistance melting away.

The whole room burst into a chorus of relieved laughter and cheers. "See, Dimey?" Needle said, picking him up and giving him a hug. "Your new cousins already love you."

Bladey and Thread, now experts on interacting with the babies, showed Dimey how to be gentle with them. "Like this," Thread demonstrated, softly stroking Sprinkle's tiny hand. Dimey mimicked her actions, his face filled with concentration and wonder.

All the adults were in awe watching the five children bond all together for the very first time. They knew that there would be lot's of fighting and bickering between them as they all grow up together, but for now, all the family could do was live in that moment, welcoming in their two newest additions.
