(A/N: I have decided to do a bit of plotting for some kind of... Story? I don't really know. Anyway, it's a human AU so if I mix stuff up in this chapter it's because I forgot they're humans... So yeah. Hope you enjoy. Oh, and btw, I appreciate you guys so much. I'm so glad people actually read my work. Oh, and this AU is before they had kids. I'll let you start reading now.)
(Sophie's POV)
Keefe decided to play... Football. (American football 🏈) Yeah. I mean, he has the muscle for it, but I don't know about this.
He apparently had to put on a bunch of pads, which amplified his muscles, and I couldn't help staring.
"I think I like this sport. It makes you check me out more often." Keefe decided. I blushed.
"I am NOT." I argued.
"Are."
"Are not!"
"Totally are."
"Totally aren't!"
"Are!"
"Shut up." I mumbled, crossing my arms.
Keefe leaned in. "Make me."
"Okay." I leaned in like I was gonna kiss him and then grabbed a piece of duct tape and put it on his mouth. "There."
"Mmhmhmm!" Keefe said, trying to speak.
"What's that?" I teased. "You're too scared it's gonna hurt when you take it off?"
Keefe glared at her.
"This isn't my fault." I said innocently. "You were asking for it."
Then I reached over and ripped it off. He yelped and I giggled.
"You're SO gonna pay for that." He said, his eyes narrowing.
"Whatever you say, Hunkyhair. Get the rest of your stuff on! We're gonna be late for the game." Then I walked out of our house. Keefe followed quickly behind with his helmet in his hands.
When we got there, I frowned. "Do you think this is safe?"
"Aww, is Foster worried about me? Don't worry, I've got experience with doing stupid stuff that can possibly get me hurt. Don't sweat it. Even though I'll be sweating a lot after this..." Then Keefe got out of the car and sprinted towards the field.
I parked the car and followed him onto the field. The coach had them doing some pretty hard looking stuff. Good thing Keefe's like... Super duper strong. Not that I'd ever tell him that out loud.
I sat on the bleachers and held up the sign that Keefe made me promise to hold up. It said: HUNKYHAIR FOR THE WIN! with a bunch of pictures of his face on it. And I insisted on adding glitter. Wow, I'm sorta being like Biana lately.
I looked up just as they started the game. Keefe, of course, was a show off, and did his famous wiggle dance while blowing me a kiss after each touchdown he made.
Then, during one of the plays, I suddenly realized... One of the players on the other team was my ex-boyfriend, Fitz. My eyes widened when he saw me. During halftime, Fitz came up to me.
"Hey, Sophie. Sorry, I was just wondering, why you were here." Fitz said.
"Oh, I'm here to watch my husband." I said. His eyes widened.
"You're married?" He exclaimed. Keefe came up behind me and put his arm around my shoulders.
"Yep. She couldn't resist me." Keefe replied.
"He's your husband?" He asked.
"Yeah. A lot of things have happened..." I mumbled awkwardly.
Fitz's gaze darkened. "Oh, yeah, I understand." He muttered bitterly. Then he walked away.
I rolled my eyes. "What did he expect? For me to stay single?" I mumbled, kicking the grass in frustration.
"Hey, no need to abuse the plant life." Keefe jumped in, trying to cheer me up. I turned around and met his eyes.
"Sorry. He's being annoying. Love you! Go get 'em!" I patted Keefe's back as the whistle blew and he sprinted back onto the field. "Love you too, Fos-Boss!" I rolled my eyes playfully with a smile.
Keefe's team scored another touchdown, and I cheered the loudest, of course. But on the next play, Keefe seemed to be extra ambitious. He dove for the ball, sprinting at full speed. Then suddenly, I realized Fitz was reaching for the ball, too.
As Keefe tripped and fell, his helmet came flying into the air. His head hit the ground hard. Then his body went limp.
*Not even gonna say anything. Please don't come for me.
