Chapter nine; Hit or miss?

we finally got to the club house and signed in, Susannah was hosting the whole thing which is why we didn't go with her, we waited on the bleachers for the event to start

"We need to make a handshake" I said looking at Jere as he was right next to me, we never really had one

"Sure if you want" Jere nodded and so we did it was kinda just dabbing each other up and bumping shoulder's

Then Susannah started to talk on the mic and telling everyone how it was gonna work, me and Jere went through the competition then it came to Taylor and Belly but Taylor rolled her ankle, and Belly looked over at Conrad who apparently was staring at me and Belly looked back at us "Jere go on her team" I said looking at him

"What?" He looked at me confused

"Take Taylors shirt and don't worry about me, I think I know someone who will help me" I then looked over to Conrad

Then Jere looked at Conrad and walked over to Conrad first and took off his shirt and gave it to Conrad and so Conrad changed, I don't know where Nicole was but she wasn't with him and so we switched Belly was with Jere and I was with Conrad and so the game continued me and Conrad already had a hand shake we did a kinda air high five then touched finger tips then another air high five, (It's the exact same one that Belly and him had in the show because I'm too lazy to come up with a new one- a/n) me and Conrad where winning and doing even better, with Jere we missed a little but with Conrad I was on point and so it was the finals

"You ready Auggie" Conrad said looking at me

I nodded "We are so winning" We did in fact win, I practically jumped on Conrad "Oh my god!" it was a hug but then he ended up holding me bridal style and everyone was cheering for us, I looked at him and smiled and he smiled back "Thank you" I whispered

"No problem" He nodded then put me down

Cam ran down first "That was awesome!" he hugged me

"Thanks Cam" I hugged back

Then Jere and Belly and Taylor came up "Good game" I smiled at them

"Good game" Belly said and hugged me

Taylor rolled her eyes "Yeah whatever good game"

Nicole then came over "Hey Belly" she paused and looked at me "August" she fake smiled "We are having a party tonight you guys should totally come!"

"Can I bring Taylor?" Belly asked

"Sure" Nicole nodded "August you coming?" She looked at me yet again with that fake smile

"Sure I would love too" I fake smiled back

"Alright well me and Conrad have to go but I'll see you guys tonight" then before she walked away with Conrad she spoke  "You know Conrad it's so nice that you are taking Belly to the ball since she doesn't have a date" then they walked away with Conrad looking back at me "See ya" he spoke as they walked away

Jere tensed up for some reason after Nicole spoke, I didn't know why "I didn't know Conrad was taking you" I said looking at Belly

"He just asked before this" Belly's face turned red

"Oh okay" I smiled "Let's go home and get ready for the party"
