August's pov!
As I rode into Cousins with my new pink ford thunderbird (1957) convertible, with the top off feeling the salty breeze, I knew this summer it would finally be it our summer, me and Connie.
Me and Connie used to be best friends when we where little I would always come here for the summer but then when I turned thirteen, my family moved, even tho we lived in cousins for one of those years I knew I wouldn't be there to see them during the summer but I would still see them during certain holidays like christmas but not every year but anyways me and Connie always facetime and talk as much as we can and I was finally able to make it since I can drive, I have been dreaming of this place and him, I have loved him forever.
It was finally our summer.

I have been dreaming of this place all year, I couldn't wait to swim and go to the beach and see everyone, but it was Conrad I was most excited for, maybe this year is the year of me and him, I opened the window to feel the breeze we where so close.
