Chapter eight; Happy fourth!

August's pov!

Two days passed and me and Cam and Jere have be come close and I found out Steven's nose is find it just happens sometimes after you get a black eye, I have no date to the debutan ball, I might just go alone but that's practically impossible the dance teacher is mad at me for not having a date anymore but whatever, it feels like everything that I dreamed of when I was little is just dumb, I saw girls when I was little going to the debutan ball and wanted to go but now that I'm going it's not even that great, all these thoughts running through my mind I finally sit up, it's six,thirty a.m so I start to get ready I take a shower and after I put on a red bra and matching underwear and put on my pink robe and after I dry my hair a bit I put in curlers, I do a full face of make up my eyeshadow is a red and white shimmer and I put on red lipstick then took out my curlers then put it half up with a red and white gingham bow then put on a matching dress with red heels and did my nails and painted them red since I have longer clean nails, I shaped them into almond shape then I walked down stairs, it was around nine a.m and every one was awake I think I then headed towards the stairs

"Happy birthday" Jere said surprising me from behind and hugging me

"Thank you Jere" I said laughing he then carried me bridal style down the stairs "Dun da dun!" Jere said as he came down the stairs with me

"Happy birthday!" Everyone said looking at me, Steven wasn't here but I saw he left a present for me, Jere then put me down, everyone else was here including Cam, I smiled at him, he smiled back

"Happy birthday hun" Susannah smiled, as she was also right next to me and put her arm around me and rubbed my shoulder "Thanks Susannah" She was more like a mother to me then my own even when I was gone, I opened up Steven's gift first since it was there, it was a long note then a box, I will read the note later since I have more presents to open, it was a red heart necklace, it was cute, I then put it down and put the note in it

"Here" Belly said and gave me a gift, it was a sea shell bracelet "It's adorable" I said putting it on "I love it, thank you Bells" I smiled and hugged her

"I'm next of course" Jere said handing me a box, it wasn't wrapped, I opened it, it was a necklace, it was a heart necklace but gold and smaller and it opened and so I opened it, it was a silver necklace with a pink opal stone "It's so gorgeous!" I practically squealed

"I can put it on you, if you want?" Jere said

"I wish but this doesn't match with my outfit today but I will definitely wear it tomorrow" I smiled and then hugged him "Thank you!"

"Of course Augs" He smiled and I put the top back on the box

"Me next" Laur smiled and handed me a box, it was wrapped in pink sparkly wrapping paper, I unwrapped it and took off the top, it was a signed vinyl, signed by Mitski and it was the album lush my favorite one "Oh my god!" I yelled

"I know someone who knows someone so don't worry about it, I'm glad you like it" Laur smiled

"Like it! I love it!" I practically jumped on laur hugging her "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"Of course hun" Laur smiled

"Me next" Susannah smiled "It's not gonna be as good as that but I think you'll like it"
