Episode 8: Threat

The two look at each other in silence again as the camera changes to the trio of boys at the parking garage, searching for any clues to try to find the spirit.

Hunter: "Find anything?" He says loudly.

Ethan: Crawling on the ground. "Nothing over here! Rav?"

Ravi: "Negative. It seems there's nothing on this level either." He says walking away from a parked car.

Hunter: "Dang it, I thought we left more of a mess last night." He said scratching his head.

Ethan: Still crawling on the ground. "Maybe the spirit came back and cleaned up the mess? That's nice of- AH!" He jumped up and held his hand.

Hunter and Ravi: Runs to Ethan. "What's wrong?"

Ethan: "I think I jabbed my hand on something...and I think it was this." He says picking up something from the ground.

Hunter: Squints his eyes. "Hey wait, this is a-" Gets cut off.

Ravi: "It's a bullet. Appears to be from a flintlock pistol." Looks down. "Looks like that's not the only one.

The three look and see about 6 more bullets on the ground. Ravi then pulls a plastic bag and tweezers from his pocket and starts collecting the bullets.

Hunter: "Those must've fell out of the Gurongi after she shot him. We got a clue!" He said pumping his fist in the air.

Ethan: Stands up. "Now that we got something, what now?"

Ravi: "Now we head to my house so I can study these." He says waving the bag of bullets.

As the three begin to leave, Hunter felt an odd feeling.

Hunter: Looks around. "Do you guys feel that?"

Ethan: "Feel what?" He asks looking back at Hunter.

Hunter: "I feel like we're being watched."

Ravi: "It might be jitters. This place can get creepy at times."

Shrugging it off, the trio begin to leave again, but fail to notice a shadow vanishing from behind them. The scene changes back to Hiwa and Ryouko, still in an awkward silence. Not knowing what to say next, Hiwa opens his phone and sees that he was getting notifications from his chief.

Hiwa: "Excuse me." He says standing up and heading to the restroom.

Once in the restroom, Hiwa immediately calls the chief.

Chief: "Seiko?"

Hiwa: "Sir, apologies for not answering your previous messages. I'm in the middle of a meet up with my cousin."

Chief: "No, my apologies for messaging you on your day off. We've got a situation. Another one of those monsters."

Hiwa: "Another Gurongi?"

Chief: "Correct. As to now and this morning, the Gurongi managed to kill 19 different people in the span of almost 4 hours up till now."

Hiwa: "What!? What has the other officers been doing?"

Chief: "The others have tried to find the Gurongi, but before they arrive, the monster would be long gone. Their method of killing appears to be strangulation."

Hiwa: "Strangulation? What else?"

Chief: "It appeared that all the bodies had what looked like suction cup markings around their necks, and some had black liquid on their faces."

Hiwa: "Suction cup markings? Black liquid? It sounds like this monster is part octopus... or squid."

Chief: "We assume so. Please, be careful. We don't know where they'll strike next."
