~Chapter 7~

"Here, wouldn't want you passing out before the shooting training."

I took his kind offer and drank the cool liquid, it gave me a moment to refresh after the harsh session. I patted the empty spot beside me to signal him over to sit down beside me.

"Sit down, it won't be good if your legs give out later on"

He let out a chuckle before sitting down beside me and placing his gun down beside mine. He then turned to look right at me before leaning in.

I froze on the spot when I noticed him moving closer. My throat suddenly felt dry even after having finished drinking water, I felt my heartbeat quicken and the palms of my hand began to sweat.

A hand caressed my cheek before a towel was switched to pat down my sweat. I felt my cheeks heat up and body tense up from our close proximity.

"Ah, you've got to take better care of your self"

I grabbed hold of the hand he had on the towel before taking the towel from his hand and patting down my face on my own, stumbling over my words and avoiding eye contact with him.

"Y-yeah, g-got it, no-noted!"

"Hm, you-"

He was cutoff when Vice-Captain Hoshina called him over to the evaluation area and shoving a gun to his chest.

I looked at the two of them before immediately averting my eyes to some place else when the Vice-Captain turned to look my way.

Soshiro Hoshina's pov

I shoved a gun, in a not so kind manner, over towards officer Ichikawa before flashing him a smile and a thumbs up.

"Hoho, You've got to work more on your attentiveness, Ichikawa"

Though the way I said it, was more like a threat than an order. He scrambled to hold the gun to his side before bowing his head to me.

"Y-yes sir, duly noted"

I waved him off before looking over towards officer L/n. For the past 2 months, I had been keeping a close eye on her after the incident in the 2nd exam, she had caught my attention as soon as she put on the suit for the first time.

For someone like her, I didn't expect her to be over 10% though it was nothing to big, that was until, her stats had gone up during the incident and her unleashed combat power surpassed Kikoru Shinomiya at that time and I wasn't sure if she, herself, knew of it.

Focusing back on the training at hand. The new recruits had made a massive improvement over themselves for the past 2 months and they seemed to have the potential to surpass the power of platoon leaders in just a few months top.

Smiling proudly to myself, I watched and listened carefully to their performances.

Reno Ichikawa - 18%
Time: 2 mins and 35 seconds

Iharu Furuhashi - 20%
Time: 2 mins and 15 seconds

Kikoru Shinomiya - 55%
Time: 1 min and 16 seconds

Aoi Kaguragi - 25%
Time: 1 min and 59 seconds

Y/n L/n - 19%
Time: 2 mins and 17 seconds

Hm, oddly enough, her percentage hadn't gone up since the incident and instead it had gone back to its former state.

Meanwhile, Kafka made a lot of noise when he finished and only ended up with 1%, then going off to brag himself to Shinomiya.

"Kafka."

"Yes Commander Hoshina!!"

In this moment, I thought of bursting his bubble and getting him back to training even harder.

"At this rate, you won't be able to become an official member and you'll be fired in 3 months"

"EHHH?!"

Seeing as everyone was starting to become relaxed, I walked up to them and voiced out my last order for the day.

"Alright, 10 laps around the perimeter and we'll be done for the day"

Simultaneous sounds of complaints and groans came from the recruits while others slumped their postures.

"Well, let's make it 15 laps now. Hurry and go."

"Yes sir!"

I looked one last time at their retreating figures and someone in particular seemed to have been glancing at me ever so often before leaving immediately after getting caught, waving off to her retreating form.

Just as I was about to leave and head back inside, I was stopped by Okonogi who had been silent the whole time.

Y/n's pov

"Ahhh, so good~"

I rubbed my shoulders to ease the tensions in my muscles while enjoying the warm feeling of the water I was dipped in.

The other girls were starting to leave and head back out to the dorms before I got out the water and changing in to my clothes.

I wasn't really comfortable with having to show my figure to other people and Kikoru was the only girl that I was very much familiar with.

By the time I had gotten out, Kikoru and Hakua were looking down on something I couldn't see from my perspective and was blocked by a wall.

"Was there a serial murder or something?"

I approached them closer and took a peek before laughing out loud when I noticed that almost all of the boys had passed out and were laying down neatly on the ground and seeming to have just been brought straight out of the bath.

Poor Reno was left to take care of the idiots and was cooling them off with only a fan in hand.

All the other girls had already turned and left, while I, volunteered to stay with Reno to take care of the boys and occasionally taking pictures of them for me to use later on as a blackmail on them.

"Hehehehehe"

"Oi, delete those."

Reno noticed me chuckling in a sinister manner while a cloud off ill-intentions surrounded me.
