Y/n's pov

I woke up pretty early the next morning so I decided to go to a nearby café for a cup of (your fave drink) and go on a morning jog, it won't be til' a little later for the exam's result to be delivered to my house.

I did my morning routine and grabbed a few of my things, slipping my shoes on and locking the front door behind me. Putting on a playlist in my phone and connecting my earphones.

I had a short jog when the café came into view. Entering the small, warm establishment, a bell rung above me upon my arrival and I was greeted by a few familiar baristas who were already used to my presence, no doubt that they already knew my usual.

Before leaving the shop, I had left them quite a big tip. I was not gonna jog back to my place since I had a drink in my hand, I then thought of having a live stream started once I get back home and maybe anounce the results of the exam.

By the time that I had gotten home, I threw away the empty cup in my hand and took a quick shower. Leaving the bathroom with the mist escaping behind me the moment I had opened the door.

I did a quick cleaning around my room all the while fixing up the set up on my pc and laying around a few snacks on the desk. By the time I was done fixing, the doorbell rang and the mailman anounced his arrival with the results of the exam.

I thanked the man and gave him a generous tip before seeing him off. I locked the door behind me then proceeded to my room, closing my bedroom door and sitting down on my gaming chair.

I unblocked Naru and asked if he was interested to join me in a game on the live stream I was going to start. Opening up my pc, I started the live stream and anounced my arrival.

In a flash, a lot of people had joined the live stream and flooded the chat with a bunch of greetings after my long absence, though one in particular caught my eye.

'I heard that the results of the Defense Corps exam came in today, so did you pass?'

"Ah, right. I did just get the letter just awhile ago, actually."

More comments came in though almost everyone was shocked that I took an exam to join the Defense Corps.

"Some of you might've forgotten that Naru and I had a bet about it. I'm more terrified to go against a Kaiju after what happened in the exam area."

'So, did you pass?'

'What happened?!'

I ripped open the envelope and reached my hand in the brown paper material and slipped out the test results.

On the other side of the stream...

In the first Division Captain's room, Gen Narumi was laying down on the couch with his phone in hand like always.

He was watching the stream of his little secret crush, sighing in defeat, However, he perked up at the mention of the Defense Corps. He made a perplexed look as Y/n talked on about a bet she had made with Naru a.k.a THE Gen Narumi, But she doesn't know that.

He watched patiently as she pulled out the test results, he mentally scolded himself for the joke he made of her joining the Defense Corps, he didn't expect her to take it to heart and knowing that she had joined because of him made his heart swell, and dramatically, his body melt on his couch.

Y/n cheered out in glee and held up the paper in the air, as he had expected, she passed the test for her natural skills and talent.

"That's my girl"

A smirk made its way onto his face without him noticing. The door to his room opened up abruptly and in came his Second-in-Command, Eiji Hasegawa.
