Y/n's pov

Someone please get me out of this place. I sat awkwardly in front of the first division's Captain while he stared at me for quiet some time now, the server had mistook us for a couple which didn't help with the awkward situation I was in.

An hour ago, I was shook to the core when I found out that my gaming buddy was actually a Captain of the Defense Corps and it just had to be THE Gen Narumi. I had ushered him to have lunch some place else so as to not get caught by some of my colleagues.

I let out a sigh in defeat and gave in to his stares, clapping my hands together to snap him from the daze he was in and clearing my throat.

"So~ Captain Narumi, is it fun for you to tease a new recruit like this?"

He let out a chuckle before leaning into his chair and moving his right arm back to rest on top of it for his head to lean and rest on, a smirk making its way onto his face.

"mhm, sure am~"

My face was sure to be obviously red from his teasing. I slammed my hands on the table and was about to bark back a statement to him when a finger was suddenly placed on my lips to silence me, I froze on the spot as he lifted my chin in between his thumb and index finger.

"Oops, don't go around arguing with your superior if you don't want to be punished just after you passed the Defense Corps exam."

'This piece of shi-'

"Ah, Y/n-chan, didn't expect to see you again so soon"

'Curses!'

Captain Hoshina popped out of nowhere and approached our table all the while, emitting an aura of bad intent on his way. Gen let go of my chin and turned to look back at Hoshina and throwing him a nasty glare.

"Well well well, running off from your duties again, Coconut hair"

"Hm, I could say the same for ya, pea-brain"

Well, ain't that a rare sight. I shrunk in my seat from the attention the two were directing towards our table.

If that wasn't bad, their voice grew louder which turned more heads towards us and a server was approaching to check the commotion, having enough, I slipped out of my chair and made the decision of leaving without them noticing.

By the time I had gotten outside, the sky had a darker hue and the sun's light was blocked by the tall buildings surrounding us.

I sat on my motorbike and grabbed hold of my helmet, However, before I could even put it on, each of my hands were taken hold by different people.

"What the-"

"Leaving so soon?"

"Didn't even bother to say goodbye?"

To my right was Captain Narumi and to the other was Captain Hoshina. They had grabbed hold of me in time and were reluctant on having me leave, the situation we were in had caught even more attention from passerbys.

Two days had gone by since that day. I avoided both men the best I could, Captain Narumi was easy to avoid since he is stationed at the first division, However, Vice-Captain Hoshina was a whole other case, he kept teasing me everytime we passed by each other in the hallways and ordering me around a few times alongside Kafka.

I sat under the intense heat of the sun with a gun in hand, sweating profusely from both the heat and harsh training we went through.

I closed my eyes for a moment before a shadow was casted over me, opening one eye, I peeked to see Reno standing before me and handing over a cold bottle of water.
