Arriving to the place, it was secluded, as expected for clan hostings. Though, despite the desolate area it was in, there were many people, many guards, many cars.

Many many people, all looking equally as mysterious, but as I stepped in with Jake, randomers began bowing and greeting Jake respectfully.

I had my arm linked with Jake's, my hand gently holding his bicep - I had no complaints, genuinely, this was probably better than winning the lottery.

"Mr Sim, the pleasure is mine." A man with a gruff voice came out of thin air, he gave a small bow, shaking his hand with Jake.

"Been a while." Jake simply replied with, his words always had some kind of, icy tone lacing them, yet despite that, I always found myself weirdly attracted to the way he spoke.

"Is this your Mrs Sim? Since when? She's very beautiful." He chuckled, staring over at me and then taking a good look at me from head to toe.

Jake seemed to take that personally.

"She is, been mine for as long as I can remember, and it won't change." Jake didn't cut his gaze off the guy as he said that, the man looked back up at Jake, giving a small nervous chuckle.

"Ah, yes, well, I'm glad you're happy." He nodded his head swiftly in short strokes, evidently a little aware that he may have just endangered his own life through a single action of checking me out.

Cutting us away from this man, one of Jake's closest friends came and dragged us away.

"Kangjun is here. Lounge three." Jay muttered to us, dragging us further and further away from the gatherings of people on the first floor, until eventually he led us to a seperate room, quite a distance away from everybody else.

I walked inside with Jake, letting go of his bicep as I realised that all of his friends were sat here, talking and sipping on their drinks.

Jake turned to look at his head, but didn't say anything, instead, sat down on one of the sofas, giving a small groan.

"Who's this loyal man that just sit down? Brought the same girl?" Sunghoon chuckled, making a lighthearted joke at Jake as I sat beside him.

I even managed to give out a small, quiet laugh at his remark.

Jake, on the other hand, did not find this as amusing as I did, or anybody else, for that matter.

The room stopped laughing as they realised Jake wasn't.

"Alright damn, it was a joke, relax." Sunghoon chuckled, pouring a glass of bourbon whiskey and sliding it over to Jake, who just picked it up and took a small sip.

"Would've laughed, but we're here for Kangjun, not for fun and games." Jake crossed one leg over the other, leant back on the sofa and stared up to the ceiling.

I had no idea what I was supposed to do here up until we were going to crack down Kangjun, so I just scrolled on my phone.

I couldn't drink either - well - I could, but it wouldn't be a good idea.

"What exactly are we gonna do to prove he's a traitor?" Heeseung chimed into the conversation as everybody leant forward, listening intently now.

Jake gave a huff, thinking while taking occasional sips of his whiskey.

"Well, if we show up to his lounge, he'll suck up to us, so not a chance." Jungwon said, and the room went silent in a state of thought.

"Pressuring him with his own life wouldn't be a good idea either." Sunghoon added to that, I was still scrolling on my phone, just subconsciously listening in to the conversation.

"Fuck man, I know he's giving our info away and selling our men, we just need the proof." Jay groaned, running his fingers through his hair in frustration.

I turned my phone off, looking up at them.

"What exactly does he look like?" I joined into the conversation, I may as well try and help.

My words caused Jake to sit up normally, and look at me, as if he wasn't completely in agreeal with me joining into this.

"He's older than us, not by much, but you can tell on his face. Black hair, stubble, small scar on his cheekbone." Sunghoon gave a short, brief description of him, and solely from the scar on his cheek, I reckon I could identify him easily.

"He's got a wife, you seducing him, will not work." Jake finally spoke up, his voice dark.

I turned my head to look at him, then a light chuckle left my lips as I stared into his eyes - as did he.

"You want to bet on that? Lounge three, right?" I was sure that I could get him to spill, I just knew I could, and especially with Jake doubting me, it made me want to try harder.

"What'd you want in return?" Jake raised his brow lightly, staring at me with interest as the whole table of his friends just watched us.

I just know they felt the tension between us two, but judging by the subtle smiles on their faces, they were enjoying this.

"I'll decide on that later, what do you want in return?" I figured that I'll just think of whatever I want later, what was more important, was what Jake wanted.

"Jaewook dead." Jake remorselessly said.

My facial expression didn't change, I still stared at him the same, regardless of the words he just uttered. I gave a small smirk, holding my hand out to shake on it, and he shook it.

"Don't be crying when he's gone, baby. Should know not to make bets with a guy like me." Jake even dared to continue his narcissistic speech.

I stood up, throwing a pitiful chuckle at him as I looked down to his face.

"We'll see who'll be crying."
