“Calm down we will help you find her, she is probably in the library” Zack said and they all continued towards the library. They looked all over the place but they still couldn't find her.

“She wasn't in class,” Zack said at Lunch, a hint of worry creeping into his voice.

“Something bad has happened” Jenny cried, “She would never miss a lesson” she added.

“Maybe we should call Tray” Adam suggested,

“NO!” Zack and Rachel screamed, “He will be so angry with us, we were suppose to look after her” Zack explained.

“We will just keep looking, she will be around here somewhere” Rachel said and they split up to continue the search for Kelly.

Max was walking out of the sports gym mumbling under his breath. He had just had another argument with his dad about training. Mr Rhead was adamant that he attended tonight’s practice, which meant that he couldn't go to the warrior house to train. As he stomped across the field to the main school building he noticed someone hunched up under a tree. “Kelly?” he asked as he walked closer to the girl, “Are you alright?” he questioned seeing that she had been crying.

“Yes, I'm just … thinking” she mumbled wiping her eyes, Max looked at her for a moment unsure what to say, it was obvious that she was upset. After a moment Max sat beside her without a word and she looked at him in confusion. Kelly and Max had never been very close, she had only ever seen him when he was with Jenny, but somehow she felt better with him sat beside her. After a few minutes of silence Kelly finally spoke, “This is a little weird”

“I know,” Max agreed but he still sat beside her, “It just seems like you need someone at the moment and I can't see Rachel and Jenny anywhere, so I guess your stuck with me” Max explained after a moment of thought.

“Thank you” was all that Kelly said in reply, “Jenny and Rachel don't understand” she explained causing Max to look at her urging her to continue. “I don't really understand myself” she sighed, “I just feel like I have to please everyone and it's exhausting” she added.

“I know the feeling” Max sighed recalling his relationship with his father.

“I guess me and you have something in common” Kelly smiled,

“Yes, we both have excruciating parents” Max laughed,

“Always being pushed to do what they want” Kelly remarked,

“Always being told that you are never good enough”,

“Never having a moment to yourself”,

“Always being compared and judged”,

“I bet it is horrible to have older brothers who you are compared to” Kelly sympathized,

“Yes, but I don't know what I would do if I found out that my parents had adopted me” Max said,

“It was actually a relief” Kelly explained, “At first I was angry because I had been working so hard to make them proud and they had lied to me” she said, “But then I realized that I didn't have to worry about what they thought any more. I was free” she explained, “But now I have Tray who is constantly treating me like a baby, I have gone from being told to grow up and work harder, to being told to be-careful and that it's to dangerous to use my gift” she groaned, “And I know that he is just worried about me and wants me to be safe, but I just want to be able to do things my own way and in my own time” Max nodded understandingly,

“I can understand how frustrating that would be” he said and Kelly smiled, “Your the only one who agrees with me, Jenny, Rachel and Zack just tell me to give him a chance” she sighed,

“Why do we never talk?” Max asked after another moment of silence,

“I guess I have always seen you as Jenny's boyfriend, who only cares about football and his friends. I always thought that we were opposites and wouldn't get along” she said thoughtfully,

“Yes, I guess we are opposites,” Max agreed and they eased back into their comfortable silence until Max got a text message from a worried Jenny asking if he had seen Kelly.

“I think you are being missed” he said showing her the text.

“Yes, well they will be worried. I missed my last lesson” Kelly said,

“Gosh, that doesn't sound like you at all, no wonder they are all freaking out” he laughed,

“I had better go and calm them all down before they ring the police or worse Tray” she giggled standing up, “Are you coming?” she asked and Max smiled joining her.

Woop Woop Max and Kelly had a little heart to heart :) So what did you think?

Is Tray being overprotective of Kelly? do you think Kelly is being silly or do you understand?

What about Jenny and Rachel should they be on Kelly's side? what do you think about Max being to one to comfort her?

Don't forget to comment and vote :)
