ooo. It was a sunny day on the moby dick, and it's currently May 14th... wait. May 14th?... "-momoko!" Thatch's shout made me flinch as i snap out of my thoughts as i look over at him while the two of us were in the kitchen. Right. I asked him for some cooking tips since apparently it's too spicy... which you can never have too much of.
"Oh. Yeah?"
"I was trying to tell you to stop... you have too much paprika in the soup now" he tells me, and i shrug, "oh well. Hey, is it May 14th?" I ask as i tilt my head up as i hold my chin, still trying to figure out why may 14th gives me the impression something happens today...
"Hm? Yeah, it is. Why you wondering?"
I snap my fingers as i remember why today gives me the impression something happens, "oh! It's my birthday. That's why. Well, i'm gonna ask if some of the others want my soup" i shrug, and thatch blinks before his eyes widen, making me look at him in confusion.
"YOUR BIRTHDAY IS TODAY?!"
"Yeah?... what about it." I ask as my brows furrow, is a birthday so important? I don't think I've celebrated it since i turned 12...
"Well... how old are you turning?"
"Oh! I'm turning... 18. Yeah ( bro i had to go back some chapters to figure her age for this 😭 she and ace Depart 5 years ago, and during the 2nd year they join WB and on the 4th year is when thatch dies in my timeline so just go with it )" i nod as i hum.
"18th birthday?! This is a special day y'know, it's not everyday you turn 18"
"Really?... it's not a big deal."
"It is, what do you usually do for your birthday?..." i raise a brow at his questions, i lean against the metal table, i hum. Usually Ace just gives me a present, though sometimes he's enthusiastic- i don't really do much stuff for it.
"Why are you asking so many questions about my birthday??"
