CHAPTER TWENTY

______Sofies pov.

I fainted I knew, he tried to erase my memory I knew, he would make Faltin potion I knew and he will kill my sister with it I know.

It's eating me from inside that he will kill my sister and I can't do anything that would be suspicious. I even don't know how to figure out who is Nate - or maybe I do. One of them doesn't knock and calls me my lady. There are only few times where he comes with a knock and they are also the times where he neither takes my name nor calls me my lady. Those conversations are also small.

I was pulled out of my thoughts with a knock. I opened the double doors and found Jasper. " you have to come to the dinning hall half an hour early" he said. Gave a bow and left.

Proof that I was right. Nate gives me peck before going. I'd thought that he might be in hurry.

Now the only things I have to do is save my sister along with my people. What if saving her costed my people? Would I be able to sacrifice her ? I will. I will sacrifice anyone if it means to protect my people -

"Easy with those thoughts ,my lady ,I don't want to die. " someone said and it wasn't long enough till I figured out who it was. There he was, Nate , standing behind- wait was my guard off ? Oh no its Nate, he can cut off a Shields power and Jasper didnt know about it.

"Why were you thinking of sacrifice anyway ?" He asked. Its time to tell him

"Nate there is something I came to know about." I sighed. "Your brother Jasper is the Nadjan Nelph. I know he told you to take his place in this palace and be my assistant but there is something more to it. He told me that he would be making faltin potion, kill my sister and somehow connect all this and get rid of me. He tried to erase my memory but he couldn't. And one more secret that I kept for so long that I am a shield."

"My lady there is no need to worry I am with you always. Any help you need in any way , I would always be there for you." He said and hugged me.

"Nate I need a book from library. It holds the secret of faltin potion. Its in the second row from tge right in restricted library. From the left ,count twelve books. The thirteenth would have no name. It could only be read by the Nelph. If Jasper can make faltin potion it means that he would make her drink it. I can find a cure to it and save her." I said

"Ok, my lady, I would be back in a minute." He said as he gave me a peck.

"Wait I need you to call Alice. She lives in the dorm 5765." I said before he could go.

" Alright. " he said and he left.

Minutes passed by and that is when I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and hugged the person infront of me, Alice.

"Here you are , finally remembering me after three years." she said.

"Alice you need to come in and listen to what I say" she came in and we sat on my bed. "Alice take this, " I handed her a bracelet. "Promise me you wont forget me if I go-"

"You dont need me promising. I will never ever forget you. But you need to promise me that you will come back "

"I Sofie Allen promise Alice Starborn that I will come back sooner or later."
It was an unbreakable promise from a nelph. It can never be broken. The bracelet I gave her was a sign that I might be gone and she wont know so it was like a final good bye.

I looked at her , her eyes were glossy. She wanted to cry but during the years I lived with her we learned never to cry. I failed and she passed. I cried and she handled herself as well as me both. I had cried infront of my enemy so why to be shy now. I hugged her tears falling from my eyes.

She just hugged me and then with a small talk she left. I knew why. She also needed to pour her heart out but all alone.

Later before lunch I was given my book by Nate and I kept it in my drawer and now I am heading back to my room.

I reached and started reading. Couple of hours later I found my answers and strategy. I have to tell this to Nate. I apparated to him and there he was talking and laughing and drinking wlak a faltaniesian alcahol. It contains alcahol in less amount but I still asked him to stop drinking it.

He spotted me and instantly came to me. Noticing me everyone stood and bowed. He wispered " my lady, I would be in your room but please go. I dont want them thinking something is going on between us."

" Nate, even if they know. So what. You are my boyfriend."

"But they know that Jasper is your boyfriend."

"Ok then. " I said and left.

I waited in my room for minutes that felt like hours and then he came.

"My lady what happened?"

"Nate, I came up with a strategy but it would cost a lot. "

"What would it cost?"

I sighed "my sister, Nasia. If she died I would take the blame and go prison and then with my powers I would come back as someone else. You would know when I come back but I won't be the one to tell you this. "

"What would you do?"

"I studied this book and came to know that a nelph can be a nelph again and faltin potion supports it if it means a good future. The potion knows everything. If it chooses me again it means I won't die but if it won't, then I die. I know the cure for the pain it causes but to bring the herbs it requires it would take ages and by then Nasia would die and even if she won't , bringing the herbs would cause suspicions. I will pretend that I am in prison and then I would go collect the herbs. When I come back I won't be me but someone else."

"Ok, if that's what you want but promise me you will come back. I can't live without you, my lady. We would wait for the day and then you go."

One month later It was the day I had to go. I knew but it was so unreal.

Someone came in panting like hell and I knew why. He told me that Nasia had drank the faltin potion and I can't do anything.

Nasia died and I went to prison took the blame. That was when I manuplated everyone's brains and escaped. I went to the Himalyan mountain range and collected the herbs.

It took me two and a half years to do it and when I returned I needed a shelter. That is when I met Forger family. I moved in with them and what I kept in thier mind was that they have to move across the Allen house. I took a new identity with a new face, Kelly Forger. I kept my hair and eyes as sign that Sofie Allen is not dead.

On 4th March when I heard the screaming I thought to save the person but it was my destiny that I saw the glass of faltin potion.
