With the team getting split up, Blades knew exactly what had to be avoided in it. He was quite well informed on certain things that his Carrier thought, and knew if one thing were to happen, then somebot would not be alive.
In the long run, Boulder modified the Ground Bridge a bit to make sure that this one thing wouldn't happen, which did help for that case, but Blades was not ready for the fact that it seperated him and Chase.
In the long run, Heatwave was rather surprised that he didn't end up in a new location with Hightide, after all, he knows how much that sea bot was hoping for it. At the same time, he actually was happy to stay on Griffin Rock but surely hopes Salvage stops changing the traffic lights.
Hightide was for certain that Heatwave would've ended up at the new location, and had zero idea what could've stopped all of that from happening. In the long run, even if they were in the same location, the chances were that Ratchet would hunt him down anyway.
