I can feel the cool wind of October as I stood and tried to remember where I parked my car before heading to the airport two months ago. I came back home and hoping that my family will embrace me with open arms and ask for forgiveness. But, I have my doubts, of course. That's because when I ran away from home and heading to New York and to my aunt, Bethany, they didn't come to her funeral last month. She was ok when I was with her until a few days ago she collapsed. I immediately took her to the hospital and the doctor told me that she has cancer and it was been awhile. My aunt knew what she has, but didn't tell me. I was upset and angry with her about what she did.
However, I stood by her side as she lay there weak and fragile. I tried calling home but nobody answered, wanting my family to know that
my aunt is really sick and that
they should come and see her. But all it takes me is to voice mail. I sent them the message, hoping that they'll hear it and come right away before it's too late. Since I haven't heard from them, my aunt passed away. I was going through alot and i didn't know what to do. After staying a few weeks, with my aunt's house and her friends coming by, I decided to go back home. I know leaving the way things are back home was a disaster, but coming to my aunt was my only option, not knowing that she was sick and never told anyone. I was glad that I came to her, as a matter of fact, she cheered me up by taking me and letting me see New York. Then I asked her why she hadn't called or come by and her reaponds to me that ever since Lucy, my step sister, came to our lives she was bad news but nobody listened to her. So that's the reason she lost all contact with my family.
I told her that things went downhill for me when she, Lucy, arrived. It's like my parents sees her like she is their real daughter when I'm just standing there like an idiot. After awhile, one leads to another, they sort of adores her more than me and I'm only the annoying, disobedient child. Not only that, she finds away to get in between with my friends and I and tried successfully to abandon me. And last but not least was my 5 months boyfriend, now my ex, Jacob. He cheated on me with her and I was relieved that I didn't say those 3 words to him because I now know he isn't my Mr. Right.
So, Lucy, isn't the type of girl who wants a loving family and a home. No. She's the type that wreck their lives just because her real parents abandoned her. So she sees me as a threat. She wants to get rid of me so she'll get all the attention she wants. She's doing the possible way to remove me starting with my family, friends, and boyfriend. Well, she done all that. But, do you think I'm done with her? No of course not because I'll find away to show her true colors.
Back to the present, I found my car and hopped in. I drove toward the familiar road to home. But as I got to my street and towards the driveway, I shut off the car and stared at my house. The reason I ran away from home is because my dad accused me of shoplifting when I haven't. I was in my room, feeling depressed and alone, while looking through my phone. I didn't know my jacket was gone but when I went to the bathroom and came back to my room, i didn't notice it was there. I didn't think of it. I mean I allowed, Lucy, use my clothes but she better make sure to return it with no rips or tear. However, I get in return from her are handcuffs and jail time. How? Well, she took my jacket without me knowing, took my car, and drove to some store that sells jewleries and stole it and also making sure that she had the hood up so the cameras won't see her face but sees my license plate number. See how sneaky she she is. She comes home and ran up the stairs without anyone seeing her. She also made sure that the jewlery she stole is in my jacket pocket. She then throws it in my room and headed to hers without anyone noticing her gone. How do I know this? Well, we've seen the footage of how I(she) stole the jewlery wearing my jacket and running out if the store and headed to my car. I saw how the camera zoom in on my license plate number and indicated that the car is mines.
Seeing all this happen in my head made me feel all uneasy and thought what if I just turn back? Find a place, a motel, to live in? But no. Just a little hope. I got out of my car, walked toward the house, walked up the porch steps, and... knocked. Just when I knocked on the door, I hold my breath, waiting for the door to swing open and see my dad or my mom and seeing their thrilled happy faces which by the way I have my doubts.
The door opened and showed me.... a guy?! A guy I haven't seen before in my life!
