Olivia had noticed that they looked stupid in this position.

On the bathroom floor, just sitting, their heads tiled like the others'.

Kasey crinkled another empty water bottle into the circular garbage can. She chuckled softly with a nod. And Kasey couldn't tell why; he was drunk and confused.

Olivia got up and shrugged. "So, strawberries?"

That's right, he does like strawberries. It's his comfort food.

As Olivia was about to leave, a swift hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.

"Wait, don't leave me. Don't leave, Liv."

Olivia turned towards him, her eyes darting from his head to his face then away fully. "Huh? What about the–?"

"No. Stay," he said, pulling her back onto the spot on the floor, "Please."

Now Olivia was the confused one.

Did he want strawberries or not?

Was she supposed to leave or stay?

"Sure.." She complied, sitting cross-legged in front of him. "...Are you okay?"

She could see him thinking. And now she was certain that he was about to lie about his feelings. Like he always did.

His drinking problem wasn't something he liked to advise. Olivia would always be the one bringing it up and trying to help him about it—maybe send him to that new program that deals with alcohol abuse—but he'd dismiss it every single time.

"Yeah."

"No, no you're not. Talk to me, Kasey."

Kasey leaned back against the tub, his eyes now closed. He wouldn't answer, Olivia knew it.

And his hand was still on her wrist. He really didn't want her to leave.

So, she sat there, staring at him, waiting for a movement. Waiting for anything.

Asleep.

The both of them.

Just asleep.

Kasey had kept his eyes closed long enough to doze off.

It was late, so it would be understandable.

And Olivia had stayed up the night before to finish a reflection. They were both worn out and tired.

Kasey rose first. He opened his tired eyes, and in his view was Olivia. She rested against the wall.

His head immediately hurt and his hand shook her knee a few times. Then a few more times to wake her up. She sat up with a yawn and a drowsy 'what?'.

"Are you okay? What do you need?" She quickly added in a tired voice and a rub at her eyes. "What happened?"

Kasey just stared at her. Olivia stared back. Kasey noticed that her eyes were now anxious, instead of tired.

"What?" She asked again.

His eyes focused on her glasses that rested crookedly on her nose. And, since he liked things to be in order, he moved his hand toward them.

He was a perfectionist at his finest.

Olivia's eyebrows raised as he pushed the glasses up on her face.

"Sorry. It was bothering me," was his excuse.

Yep, back to himself, she'd thought.

"Hangover?"

"Still a bit drunk... I think.." He hiccuped tiredly. "Time?"

Olivia looked around, then reached for her phone—it was on the floor near the sink and probably fell out while she slept.

"2:15."

"P.M..?"

She gave him a questioning look. "..A.M."

"Oh." Kasey rubbed the back of his neck and sucked air through his teeth. "Interesting."

"Interesting how?"

"I don't know. I just wanted to say 'interesting'."

They sat there, in silence.

And for a moment, Olivia thought Kasey would start spilling his heart out. His hands were shaky and he looked like he wanted to say something.

"Welp." When the silence became unbearable, Olivia said, "I'm going to bed.."

Kasey nodded, then to reassure her, added, "I'll head to bed after grabbing a snack."

She was surprised he hadn't stopped her from leaving. Not-so-surprised that he was hungry, though.
