**Prologue**

Back when I was in college, I posed a question to a renowned author I met at a lecture.

"What qualities are necessary for a television writer?"

Without hesitation, he responded.

"The ability to handle broadcasting incidents."

I was taken aback.

As someone expected to excel in scriptwriting or to possess various connections for recruiting cast members, I anticipated a different answer.

So, I changed my question.

"What abilities are essential for a successful television writer, then?"

The author paused for a moment, then replied more thoughtfully than before.

"It's the ability to avoid broadcasting accidents."

"Pardon?"

"On this ground, the line between a minefield and a jackpot is razor-thin. Being able to discern that is the most important."

"Is that so?"

Back then, I chuckled and brushed it off.

But now, as a television writer myself, I've come to realize the validity of that answer.

In a way I never could have imagined.
