The pre-school was a scary place for Adrien. He had never strayed too far from his mother's surroundings. He was happy to have a friend as company in this strange, loud place.

He recognised the names of the children in the nursery - surnames of people his father had met before. Everyone in the pre-school had a motive to become friends with him and he was afraid. So he clung to (Y/n) and never left her side.

He felt safe.

Maybe it was because she was the colour pink personified or the fact that she could tell when he was nervous. He had never felt this way around Chloé and passed it off as never really liking her anyway.

He was happy to have her. He knew he had someone to lean on no matter what happened. His biggest surprise awaited him on his bed - the letter.

The sparkly, pink letter was written carefully - the writer had clearly attempted to make their handwriting legible but had barely succeeded as the name read 'Abrien.'

The letter was short but Adrien needed the help of his mother to read the bright pink writing. She chuckled when she saw it. She too knew that this girl would look after her son and keep him safe. After hearing the contents, he excitedly began scribbling away.

He knew they would be friends forever.

Dear (Y/n),

I hasd a really good time with you today. Thank yous for being there and we will be the best of friends!

Adri.
