To Be With You (Epilogue)

"I'll miss you banging my door open!"

Having an interior designer student as a girlfriend had its own perks. It was a week after Neil had proposed to Avni & shifted to his dad's place - Khanna Mansion. He was sitting on his bed, looking at Avni while she stood in front of his shelf, making sure that all the things were aesthetically positioned well. Neil couldn't care less but Avni had made it a point to set his room up in an aesthetic vintage fashion.

Sighing, he walked up to her & wrapped his arms around her stomach & placed his chin on her shoulder as he hugged her from behind.

N - I'll miss you banging my door open! - he said as his lips puckered up in a pout & he blinked his eyes.

A - Neil! Your house is just a twenty minutes drive from our apartment. And, we'll meet in college. C'mon, don't be sad, Raajkumari. - she rubbed her palms across his arms that were wrapped around her. Though she wanted to cry too about the fact that he'd no longer live next door to her, she was happy that he was rebuilding his relationship with his family.

N - Tum mujhe miss nahi karogi? - he turned her around in a swift motion as he snaked his hands around her waist.

A - Nahi! - she shook her head.

N - Not even a bit? - he scrunched his brows in a frown.

A - Arre! Main miss kyu karungi? I'll come to meet you whenever I'll feel like seeing you! - she kissed his cheek making him smile.

N - How do you always have all the answers to all my questions? - he asked, his fingers playing with the ends of her open hair.

A - Well, you're lucky that you've such an amazing girlfriend. - she shrugged before laughing.

N - I sure am, baby! - he kissed her cheek as he smiled against her skin.

"It all makes sense!"

Neil parked his bike inside Avni's complex as he dropped her back home after the dinner. It was a celebratory dinner for Avni, Kabir & Saisha for having completed their graduation. They had already gotten placements through the campus placement that their college provided & were supposed to start working from the next week. Neil had graduated an year back & was already working in a renowned architectural firm. He, Ali & Rhea were also working on the finances in order to gather some investment so that they could start their own firm. 

A - Do you wanna come up for cold coffee? - she asked after getting off the bike. 

There was still time for him to get back home so he gladly agreed at her offer. Entering the apartment, Avni led Neil to the kitchen as she grabbed his hand. 

N - When are Uncle-Aunty coming back from Delhi? - he asked as he opened the cabinet to take out sugar & coffee powder.

A - Tomorrow! - she answered. Her parents had gone Delhi for a friend's daughter's wedding.

Neil nodded his head in acknowledgement as he put the milk in the blending jar while Avni simply sat on the kitchen platform, her legs dwindling back & forth as she watched him. Well appreciating the sight of his muscles flexing when he moved his hands.
