The drive back home was fraught with tension, the silence between Haneul and Minjun thick with unspoken words. Haneul's grip on the steering wheel was tight, her knuckles turning white as she navigated the familiar streets.

As they reached home, Haneul didn't even spare a glance at Y/n. She marched straight to the door, her footsteps heavy with anger. With a resounding slam, she shut the door behind her, the sound echoing through the house like a thunderclap.

Y/n's heart sank as she heard the door close. She knew what was coming next. Sure enough, Haneul stormed into her room, her expression cold and unforgiving.

"What were you thinking?" Haneul's voice was like ice, cutting through the air with its sharpness. "How could you be so irresponsible?"

Y/n tried to explain, to tell her side of the story, but Haneul wouldn't listen. With a swift motion, she grabbed Y/n's arm and dragged her to her room, ignoring her cries of protest.

"Please, Mom, let me explain," Y/n pleaded, but Haneul was relentless. She locked Y/n in her room, leaving her alone with her thoughts and her tears.

Inside the room, Y/n sank to the floor, the weight of her mother's disappointment crushing her spirit. She knew that she had let her parents down, but she couldn't understand why Haneul was being so harsh.

Y/n sat on the floor of her room, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't understand what she had done wrong. "What was my fault in all of this?" she cried out. "I didn't even know what was happening around me."

Haneul's voice came through the door, sharp and unforgiving. "You want to know your fault?" she asked rhetorically.

"The last thing I remember from last night was your father and I bidding you goodnight after dinner with the Jeon's, and so sweetly sending you off to sleep. Then how come we woke up to find you in that damned bar? Did your legs get a mind of their own to carry you there?"

"I... I don't know, Mom," Y/n stammered, her voice trembling. "I woke up in the bar, I don't remember how I got there."

Haneul's anger flared. "How could you just sneak out without us knowing?" she demanded, her tone accusatory.

Y/n's heart raced as she tried to explain. "Hyunjin was concerned about me," she said quickly. "He must have sneaked into my room to check on me, and then he suggested going out to cheer me up. I... I didn't mean to end up at the bar, it just... it happened."

Haneul's eyes narrowed as she processed Y/n's words. "That boy," she muttered, her voice dripping with venom.

"He has no right to interfere in our family's affairs. How dare he manipulate you like this?"

Haneul's anger only intensified at Y/n's explanation. "What happened next?" she demanded, her voice laced with frustration.

Y/n shook her head, tears still streaming down her face. "I don't remember," she whispered. "I just remember having one drink..."
