She's moving north. I grip the stick as I walk. There's something off. A dark feeling sickens me. I can't explain it. Legs...glowing eyes... what does it mean? I then hear the crack of thunder. It's going to rain. I wince as I sit down. I need to rest. I don't even care if it rains. I let out a breath.

I grip my chest. Pain flashes in my body. I wince. She almost destroyed me. She clawed me good. I move my hand into the cloak. I really hoped it stopped bleeding by now. I feel the wound. It doesn't feel that good. But... what can I do?

I lean back against the tree. Or at least I think it's the tree. I feel the dirt. It feels hard and cold. My hand feels something softer. Smoother. A plant? A barely sprouted one. I draw my hand back. I let out a breath. My thoughts drift to Yanli, Jiang Cheng, ... Lan Zhan. It's been a month since I had seen them last.

I know they probably hate me for leaving them but what choice did I have? I feel my mask. My eyes were ripped from my head. Ripped from my skull. Blood spilled from my face and scarred it forever. I still feel it. I can't let them see me like this. Broken. I need to fix myself.
