"Where did it happen?" I ask.
"I was going home. A village north of here." He says.
"What did she tell you?" I ask.
"She told me she'd been looking for someone like me." I say.
She told me something different. I expected this however.
"Go on." I say.
"Why?" He asks.
"Please." I say.
"Fine." He huffs.
"Go on." I say.
"I thought..." He says.
"Hm?" I ask.
"This is going to sound crazy." He says.
"So what?" I ask.
He lets out a breath.
"When we were talking, she... I could've sworn she had sprouted legs." He says.
"Legs?" I cock my head.
I freeze after he had said that. Legs? Now that part I didn't know. She didn't spawn legs when we fought. I didn't even know she was nothing but a human. It wasn't until after she blinded me that I thought she was something not entirely human. Did I even here that correctly?
"Legs. Like a spider." He says.
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"Scoff. So, you think I'm crazy?" He asks.
"No." I turn.
I remember seeing this glow in her eyes. It looked inhuman. I grip the stick as I start walking out using my stick as a guide. I believe him. She stole my eyes too. I've never fully recovered from it. I still can barely summon enough spiritual power to get around. It's exhausting.
