Twenty Seven

Angeldust raised the arm holding his phone ready to throw it but Husk grabbed his wrist.

"Baby no!" Husk instructed. "You need ya phone. He ain't worth it."

Angel's mouth fell open. He lowered his arm and wrapped his lower arms around Husk before the tears started falling. Husk hugged him back and rubbed his back.

"I got ya, Ang. You're okay, I don't care what he said. You're okay." Husk assured. in a calm tone as he continued rubbing Angel's back. Angeldust nodded.

The two pulled away. Angel out his phone on the bedside table and plugged it into the charger. He didn't bother answering Valentino.

Angel sat up on the bed but his legs laid flat as his back was against his headboard. He made grabbing motions at Husk. The cat demon got in-between his legs and went to lay his head on his chest like he always did but, his gaze cought something and he immediately sat up before he even laid down all the way. His eyes narrowed in shock, he looked up at Angel and back at his thigh. He knew Angel wasn't gonna want to talk about it, after everything so he figured he'd ask about it later. Even though, it hurt so much to see.

He laid down and wrapped his arms around Angel, who took his hat and put it on his own head before hugging back and petting the cat demon as they cuddled.

"God I wanna I wish I was high right now." Angel said with a chuckle.

Husk shook his head. "How long have you been clean?"

Angel shrugged.

"I lost track. Da days started blendin togetta."

Husk nodded.
"The night ya relapsed?"

Angel nodded.

"I think so anyway."

Husk rested his chin on the spider's chest floof and looked up at him.

"Ang it's been weeks that's so good!"

Angeldust raised an eyebrow.
"It's really been that long? Why's it feel like four days?"

Husk shrugged.

"I don't know."

Angeldust sighed and continued petting his boyfriend as he purred. Husk burried his face in Angel's chest floof.

"I evva tell you why I came here?" Angeldust asked.

Husk looked up at him again and shook his head, before burrying his face again.

"Before dis, Cherri and I lived togetta. I didn't know Val knew where I lived. Down to da god damn apartment number. I went out with some friends, Cherri being the bestest bitch she is, stayed back to watch Fat Nuggets cause Val had just give him to me and I didn't like da thought of him being left alone." Angel took a deep breath before he continued.

Husk looked back up at him, hearing the mention of the little pig and Valentino in the same sentence.

"That prick gave this sweet lil guy?!" Husk didn't buy it, he pointed to the pig who was sleeping on Angel's pillow next to him.

Angel chuckled. One of his hands unraveled from Husk's fur and he facepalmed.

"Not the point of da story but yeah."

There was a moment of silence as Angel slowly stopped laughing.

"Anyways."

Angeldust continued the story, he was still angry at himself for putting her in danger.

Cherri was sat on their couch in the apartment petting Fat Nuggets, as she watched some show.

Suddenly the door was being pushed and prodded at she grabbed Nuggets off the couch and ran to the bedroom she shared with Angel. Hell's economy was shit they couldn't afford another room and both of the refused to let the other sleep on the couch.
