"Joshua! Fuck! Stop, okay! It hurts, please! Please!" Angelica begged as she cried. Joshua was giving her an aneurysm. He had snapped Kol's neck prior, so Kol wouldn't bitch about the current state of affairs

"You were once an Angel.. I had hoped you'd fix my son.. but you.. you were the devil in disguise.. you had fallen.. just as Lucifer did.." Joshua stared. Angelica let out a pained laugh

"Looks can be deceiving! Don't you fee- ah! Stupid! All these ye- years! It was me! You dumb cunt! Me!" Angelica laughed out in pain. Joshua made the pain even worse which made Angelica scream out. Blood, dripping down her nose. She felt her eyes roll back as she lost consciousness

"What a wicked bitch" Joshua muttered

Kai had awoken to feeling completely refreshed. Apparently he had passed out upon return. Elena was quick to feed him her blood. He had lost a lot of blood due to the heretics

"You're awake" Elena said as Kai sat up from the couch in the Salvatore house

"Where's my Angel?" Kai asked

"Before you do a spell.. there's something we need you to see.." Elena trailed off. Kai raised an eyebrow as Damon handed him a box of takeout

"Eat" Damon said. Kai got up and began scarfing down his food as the four of them got into a vehicle. They drove to his and Angelica's house. Kai had finished his food by that point. The four of them exited the car and walked to the house. A foul stench hit Kai's nose. Those of rotting corpses. Kai almost vomited

"I shouldn't have eaten.." Kai muttered as he covered his nose and mouth with his shirt

"Sorry, man.. oops" Damon said a nervous smile. They walked inside the house and down stairs to the basement. Kai opened the door to see three decomposing bodies. He knew that Angelica had done this. This is how she used to mutilate the animals. Kai felt tears well up in his eyes and not just because of the smell, but because he knew that Angelica would be crushed when she turned her humanity back on. Kai felt himself, enraged

"You guys have no idea what you've done.. Bonnie when I get her back. You better pray she begs me to give you mercy" Kai threatened as he clenched his jaw

"I'm sorry for leaving you behind, I wo-" Bonnie was cut off, clearly guilty. Kai couldn't believe her. She thought he was pissed about her leaving him there. I mean, he was but that's not why he was gonna kill her

"You think I'm furious because of your betrayal? I mean I am, but that's not why I'm gonna kill you" Kai admitted

"What?" Elena asked

"I told you a little bit about it Elena.. but there's more to Angel than any of you understand. See, Angel has the urge to inflict pain upon others. It makes her feel in control. This? This is her work. I'd recognized it anywhere because I had become accustomed to it during our childhood. She used to do it to squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, birds, cat, dogs.. anything she could get her hands on. It was typically after a rough day at school with the other kids. See, but the difference between me and Angel at this time was that I didn't feel guilt, she did, and yet she couldn't stop herself. No matter how much she wanted to. I'd have to comfort her each and every time she mutilated one of those animals" Kai began. The others couldn't respond

"Eventually.. she stopped doing it to the animals.. and started doing it to me.. don't worry- I see how you're looking at me.. no she didn't abuse me.. it was consensual.. I'm a masochist..
