.I'm not like this.

Start from the beginning

"You have a death wish or something I don't know about?. She would've sent you into that maze and watched you scream as the last drop of blood left your body." Rose said. She was never this angry with anyone. It surprised her as much as it surprised Lisa.

"But.." Lisa was cut off.

"No buts you moron, did you think you're special? You came here for fucking money so get that in your head."

Lisa looked deeply sad. More because she could have gotten Rose in trouble. Just because she hated Jennie didn't mean everyone else did.

Rose saw the upset in Lisa's eyes. She was still yelling at her until they reached her room.

"Look Lisa, you don't know here like I do. Why don't you start taking notes of the thing that would get you killed. Make that list and put the fucking Jennie Kim name there."

Lisa sat on the bed. She felt like she's four again being scolded by her dad. Why did she so randomly remember that memory?

That one time, that one last time she saw her father. The memory was blurry and she always thought she was dreaming but it was real, her dad telling her to stop being so sensitive. Was she really that sensitive?

Lisa you'll always be in danger for that.

"Lisa?" Rose's voice broke her deja vu.

"I'm sorry. I know I acted stupid. I know better than to mess with those maniac people." Lisa said, Apologetically.

"She's not... , just be safe." Her tone softer, Rose looked kindly at Lisa before she left.

She decided she would stay in her room tonight. It wasn't unusual for some idiots wanting to defend Kim's dignity and come after Lisa. It was obvious how clueless Lisa was of everything.

She didn't know those girls weren't just innocent girls. Two of them were the spies that, well, in Rose's eyes, they did it to themselves by snooping in Jennie's business. And that last one in the maze, she was Yumiko's lover.

It was so strange for Rose that Jennie would just kill that girl because she couldn't kill Yumiko for humiliating Lisa. And of course Jennie didn't say, yes Lisa, I'm doing this for you. And it led Rose to the question

Does Jennie actually like Lisa?

That would be odd.

Rose felt someone's presence, and as soon she went for her gun, she saw the face coming out of the dark.

"Park."

"Madam, what brought you here at this hour.?"

"I'd like to give her some explanation. Not that I need to, I just, I am, in fact, a monster, just not like that." ...... ,, "You can leave now."

Jennie was looking so harmless. It was at these moments that Park realized she's just a human. Never a monster in her eyes.

"Actually, I think I want you to take the sign for Jisoo." Jennie then opened the door and went inside.

Rose laughed to herself. Just when she was saying she's not a monster, she sent her to deliver a head.

When Jennie opened the door, she was sure Lisa wouldn't be asleep. But from the angle she was watching her, she couldn't tell if she was awake or not.

Lisa was wide awake. Ever since the first night she was here, she still remembered the way Jennie opened the door. The smoothness in turning the knob. But she didn't want to meet her now. Not now that she had disrespected her so much.

"Raven?" Jennie said calmly. She was slowly getting closer to the bed but suddenly she stopped.

"I'm sorry. I.. I never wanted to slap you, I'd never dream of it. I wanted to slap myself awake from this nightmare." Lisa's voice was so little Jennie was having a hard time hearing it.

"Lisa.."

"I'm sorry. Not for invading that show but for ever coming into this palace. I really am."

"Lisa." Jennie finally reached the bed and touched Lisa's shoulder. Stopping her from rambling.

"Lisa, I owe you an explanation. Can you listen to me for a few minutes?" Jennie took a deep breath. She never felt obligated to explain anything to anyone. Hell, no one ever questioned her.

Lisa turned around, shocked all over her sad face. What she saw was nothing like the woman she had seen before. Jennie's face wasn't threatening. Was it normal?.

"Those people weren't just random people. Two of those girls were spies who would slit my throat if given the chance. And that one in the maze...." she looked up to see Lisa watching her carefully.

Taking every new detail of Jennie's expression and saving them as rare moments.

Jennie closes her eyes. Killing never bothered her, tormenting never bothered her, never having a good relationship with her family didn't bother her, but those words, a sadistic monster doing it all for fun, they crumpled her heart like a worthless sheet.

"I didn't do it for fun. It was to send a message. A clean one for those who wished to defy me. Those who humiliated you in front of me. So no Lisa, I don't do it for fun. I so unknowingly did those for you and to prove that I didn't care, I would have sent you into the maze only for I to come after you."

"Jennie... you ..." Did these reasons really justify Jennie's actions? Lisa thought in her head. She was so overwhelmed by everything that happened right now that she could literally vomit.

"You have a goodnight, Lisa." Jennie said and stood up. Jennie was waiting for a response but then started to leave.

"Jennie." Lisa said in a hush tone.

Jennie looked back. Not fully, but she was facing Lisa. Hoping. Hope?

"I hate you."
