The two looked at each other and began laughing.

"So uh what now?" Angeldust asked.

Husk shrugged. He got off his bed grabbed the bottle of booze off his mini fridge and got fully on the bed and crossed his legs.

"I don't know."

There was a knock on the door. Husk groaned at having to get up after just getting comfortable.
He walked over and opened the door. It was Cherribomb, and she was holding a very restless Fat Nuggets.

"Is Angie in- oh good you actually listened to me for once. Anyways, Nuggs missed I guess you, cause he kept sitting at the door and making noises. The minute you left." Cherri stated, looking past Husk and seeing her friend.

"Aweeee. Gimme my son!" Angeldust stated getting off the bed and rushing over to Cherri and taking Nuggets from her.

Cherri and Husk both chuckled.

"Alright, before I go, I gotta be nosey. You two good now?" She asked.

Husk chuckled.

Of course he already told her. He thought to himself.

"Yeah, were good." Angel Chuckled.

"Alright. Love ya Angie." Cherri said before she left the room shutting the door behind her.

Cherribomb shut the door as she left the room. Husk and Angeldust walked back to the bed. Fat Nuggets sat in Angel's arms happily.

"So are we? Like-"

Husk shrugged. He tilted his head, looking into Angel's eyes. He sighed.

"I need more time Angel. I like ya, really do but, you got so much on ya plate. I don't really understand why you wanna be with a guy like me?"

Angeldust's face fell.

"What do you mean? Ya ain't all that bad Whiskas." He stated with a chuckle

The cat demon sighed. "Angeldust, you could have anybody you wanted, yet you want a shell of person who can't go five minutes without a damn drink? I ain't 'cute and cuddly' Angel."

Angeldust chuckled.
"But you're a kit-"

Husk rolled his eyes.
"Look, I ain't sayin no cause I don't like you. But I'm sayin no, cause you don't know Jackshit about me. I think you should. I got more going on outside this hotel, so don't let what ya think you know, be the only reason you like me."

Angeldust nodded.

Eventually, Angeldust had to go back to his room, so Fat Nuggets had access to food if he got hungry during the night, or if he had to use the bathroom. Angeldust kept a litter box in his bathroom, it might be a bit odd to have a pig that's litter trained but before Cherribomb came here he didn't have anyone to watch him, so who else could he do when he wasn't home to give him walks?

Husk surprisingly fell asleep easy without another bottle of booze.  Though he instantly regretted it.

Sirens blared in the distance, instructions called through a radio.

"All units fall back!"

Husk grabbed his bunk mate by the collar and sprinted. "Nobody's dying today!" He yelled.

There were screams for help inside a bear by building of another soldier, as the two ran through the field that was now muddy and sludge from rain.

"SHIT!" He yelled.

"We gotta help them!"  Yelled the other soldier.

"Ain't no way! That building's coming down and we ain't gonna get out.  I said nobody's dying today and I meant it." Yelled Husk.

Just as he said it he pulled out his Radio and asked for instructions, being denied access to the building. Just as the building collapsed before their eyes. They quickly realized it wasn't just one soldier trapped in there.

"Damnit!" He groaned.

The enemy was fastly approaching.

"FUCKING RUN!"  Husk yelled.

He pushed the fellow shoulder forward and sprinted out of sight they weren't terribly far from the base but still too far for any delays.

They just kept running.

A gunshots was heard

"Agh!"

Thud

Husk didn't look back, he knew better from experience.

He.

Just.

Kept.

Running.

Husk woke up in a cold sweat, out of breath and his heart was racing. He quickly looked around realizing he was back in his room, at the hotel. He immediately went into his fridge and downed a bottle of booze. There was no going back to sleep.
