Run Across the Time

CHAPTER 1

When I first met her, I thought to myself that I can't take someone like her. She's strong and courageous while I was so coward to the point that I'd turn a blind eye if someone elses bully another.

Hindi kami bagay.

Besides her being someone like that, she's also an heiress to a huge and well known company in the country while I am nothing but a bastard in my family because that's what they call me every single time.

I grew up serving my family like a servant. Doing everything they say dahil doon ako mag su-survive. That's why I'm so amaze to her.

I woke up having a splitting headache. Napahawak ako sa ulo ko na may benda. I slowly open my eyes while my forehead creases. When I already opened my eyes, I scan my surroundings. There's a white wall, a white ceiling and a white curtain.

The creases on my forehead deepened as a sat down from laying on the bed. I hear two people talking outside of the white curtain.

Nasaan ba ako?

As far as I can remember, I overdose myself inside of our bedroom and nothing after that.

Am I in a hospital?

"I already attended to his wounds pero unconscious pa rin. Sa susunod mag iingat na kayo sa paglalaro ng baseball nang walang ganitong aksidente ang mangyari. Just inform your adviser that he will be here for sometime until he wakes up since you're the class president. "

Why does this scenario feels familiar?

" Yes po. Please tell him na lang po na he should consult a doctor and I'll pay for whatever tests he will undergo. "

I was stunned for a moment.

That voice.

Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali. Memorize ko ang lahat sa kaniya. Ang haba ng buhok niya, ang bilang ng underwear niya, ang bilang ng mga nunal sa katawan niya at kung nasaan ang mga ito at ang kaniyang boses.

That's Summer!

Mabilis kong hinawi ang kurtina ngunit wala na siya roon.

"Gising kana pala. Kamusta ang pakiramda mo-"

Hindi ko na pinatapos pa ang sinasabi ng nurse dahil kaagad na akong lumabas doon. Ngunit pagkalabas ko, hindi ko maintindihan kung nasaan ba ako.

Students? Uniforms?

Napatingin ako sa suot ko at pati ako ay naka uniform din kagaya ng mga estudyanteng dumadaan sa harapan ko.

What the hell? Where am I?!

I slowly walked in the hallway where there are many busy students walking around. Ang ilan sa kanila ay sandaling napapatingin sa akin while I am wondering where the hell am I?

"Karm!," napalingon ako sa tumawag sa pangalan ko. Nakita kong naglalakad palapit sa akin si Merquinn.

"Dr. Murphess," sabi ko.

Natatawa namang mahina niyang hinampas ang balikat ko. "Grabe naman, doctor na kaagad? First year pa lang natin sa pre-med course eh."

Mas lalong kumunot ang noo ko.

"Kamusta na nga pala 'yang ulo mo? Nahimatay ka kanina matapos kang aksidenteng matamaan ng baseball. Dapat ipa check up mo pa' yan sa hospital," sabi niya.

Am i hallucinating? Am I dreaming?

"Where exactly am I?" imbes ay tanong ko.

She faked a shocked face while gaping her mouth. "Kailangan mo na ngang mag pa check up. Baka nag ka amnesia kana,"sabi niya.
