The days at the beach house melted into one another, each moment a fleeting reminder of the joys of summer vacation. As Leah and Paige reveled in the sun-kissed bliss of their seaside retreat, they eagerly anticipated the arrival of their older sister, Ava and Paige's boyfriend, Nathan.

It was midday when Ava's car finally pulled into the driveway, kicking up a cloud of dust as it comes to a stop in front of the beach house. Paige and Leah rushed out to go greet them, their faces beaming with excitement at the prospect of spending time with their beloved sister and Paige's doting boyfriend.

"Ava!" Paige exclaimed, throwing her arms around her sister in a tight hug. "We missed you!"

Ava returned the hug with a smile, her eyes sparkling with warmth and affection. "I missed you too, Paige. And Leah, its good to see you too."

Leah grinned, feeling a surge of happiness wash over her at the sight of her sister. "Its good to see you too, Ave."

As they unloaded the car and settled into the beach house, Nathan emerged from the passenger seat, his easy smile lighting up his face as he greeted Paige and Leah with a wave.

"Hey, you too," he said, his voice warm and familiar. "Long time no see!"

Leah felt her heart flutter at the sight of him, her cheeks flushing with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Nathan had been a fixture in their lives for as long as she could remember, a constant presence at family gatherings and holiday celebrations. But lately, she found herself feeling more than just friendship towards him, a fact she was determined to keep hidden at all costs.

As the afternoon turned into evening, Paige and Leah found themselves caught in a whirlwind of activity that always seemed to accompany Nathan's visits. They played games on the beach, roasted marshmallows over an open fire, danced beneath the stars as the sound of waves crashing against thee shore filled the air.

But amidst the laughter and excitement, Leah couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at her heart. She watched as Nathan and Paige shared whispered conversations and stole glances, their connection growing stronger with each passing moment. And try as she might, she couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy at the thought of someone else capturing Nathan's attention.

As the night wore on. Leah found herself retreating to the solitude of her room, the sound of her own heartbeat echoing in her ears. She lay awake for hours, lost in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions as she grappled with the truth of her feelings for Nathan and the fear of what they might mean for their friendship.
