The test result was served on a platter. The courier guy brought it in a box and gave it to Raphael. After signing that he had receive it he walked back to his room and unwrapped the box
The test result was packed with a bottle of wine and a box of cookies with strawberries. Like a wedding invitation the test result was designed with a ribbon
He couldn't help the tiny chuckle that escaped his throat at the sight of his delivery package. This is all courtesy of his mom and she can be quite dramatic.
They had to wait 7 working days to get the test results and in all that time, Raphael had already gotten all the confirmation that he needs.
He got the opportunity to spend a whole day with Ivie and he was so fascinated by the miniature version of himself. His mom was right, she was always right and her motherly instincts have always been very effective
And this was her way of saying I told you so
He opened the test result and it clearly showed that the it was positive and Ivie was a 99.9% match
He sighed in relief with anxiety, it's real he is a father.
The spelling bee finale was a bust. Ivie finished as the first runner up with the winner leading her by only two points. Which was the edge of answering one correct question ahead of her.
Ivie was so sad she wasn't crowned the winner, she was so moody and kept to her herself. The word she missed that gave her opponent an advantage over her kept ringing in her head
And instead of celebrating her victory she was dwelling on her mistakes
Mrs Erabor had already pleaded with osas to let Ivie stay in Lagos for a few days before returning to Warri, since they are still on holiday.
Osas has not made up her mind whether or not she's ready to return to Warri. Working at the store has been very convenient for her and she is enjoying the luxury that comes with it
But of course with the DNA test results out and proving Ivie has the legit daughter of the family. Her status has changed. Mrs Erabor has already told her to think about what she wants to do like a business she wants to venture in and she will be willing to support her
That's just another way to make her stay in Lagos so that Ivie can be closer to them. That all makes sense at least to an extent. This is an opportunity to have a life she has always dreamt of and Ivie will never have to lack anything
Still Osas has not figured out how she was going to explain all these to her mom who has been expecting Ivie to return since the competition ended but Osas told her she wanted Ivie to spend some time with her in Lagos before she brings her back
Mrs Erabor went has far has preparing passport and getting traveling tickets ready for anytime they wanted to go back to Warri so they can travel by air
Although things did not go exactly as planned osas had pushed through to find Raphael maybe for her own selfish reasons but the primary aim has always been for Ivie to meet her father and never lack fatherly love and care like she did.
It didn't exactly kick off as expected but they are gradually making progress maybe not with the baby's papa but at least someone agrees with her and has been supporting her from the beginning
