The Party

"Yeah, he's a cool guy." Jess replied

"Good. It's going to make the four of us going to prom together even more fun."

"Ah, yes, I almost forgot about the prom."

"No, you were trying to forget about the prom."

"I agreed to go and I am a man of my word."

"How's that arm I twisted?"

"I got the feeling back in it."

"It's just if there was one more dance I wanna go to in my whole life, it'd be the Stars Hollow High prom. I know you think it's lame but it's important to me"

"I'm getting the tickets this week."

"And I'll pay, okay?"

"Not a chance."

"It means a tux, you know. I know it's geeky."

"Tuxes are also James Bond. That's not geeky."

"You're kind."

"And going to stash a change of clothes in the limo."

The night of the party Sabrina, Jess and Rory arrived early to help the band set up.

"Does this set up feel right to everybody?" Dave asked

"Cool by me." Lane said

"Me, too." Brian agreed

"How's it look out there?" Dave asked Sabrina, Jess and Rory

"Like you're gonna bullet straight to the top of the charts, with a bullet or a - a gun's gonna shoot a bullet, and I'm not, uh, familiar with the precise terminology, but it's working, right?" Rory said

"They look like a band to me." Jess nodded

"You need to move back more." Zack said to Brian

"Why?"

"Because when I do my double jump kick off the amp with slashing windmills, I'm gonna need more room." Zack rolled his eyes

"Well, don't do that then." Lane stated

"Yeah, sounds a little too Milli Vanilli, Zach." Dave added

The band then got into a mini argument about Zack's double jump kicks. Rory and Sabrina once again giggled at the band's relationship with each other.

Jess pulled Sabrina to the side to talk to her.

"Look what I got" Jess said pulling something out of his wallet

"Prom tickets! Oh they're so beautiful" Sabrina said admiring the tickets

"Didn't you help design them?" Jess confusedly looked at Sabrina

"Okay and? They're so beautiful" Sabrina jokingly rolled her eyes

"They are, you did an amazing job" Jess complimented

"Thank you Jess, for everything" Sabrina said kissing Jess on the cheek.

"You look beautiful by the way" Jess shyly said

"Thanks so do you" Sabrina nervously blushed

"KEG!" Two boys suddenly burst through the doors

"That's my cousin Rick. He just turned twenty-one. Pretty awesome." Kyle explained to everyone

Lane started freaking out about the beer, which caused the band to get into another mini argument. Sabrina didn't show it or say anything but she was also a bit nervous from the beer. She assumed people would be drinking but actually seeing it brought a weird feeling to her stomach.

"We're here a little early, don't you think?" Jess interrupted Sabrina's thoughts

"We were helping the band" Sabrina replied

"We're dork-early"

Sabrina sighed out a slight laugh realizing he was right. There was really nothing left for them to do.

"You wanna wander around?" Sabrina asked

After some time people began arriving to the party. Sabrina and Jess were staring at Kyle's family picture when Rory approached them.

"The band's getting ready to go on. They're all hyperventilating to the same rhythm, so that's a positive sign. What are you looking at?" Rory asked

"The happy family" Jess pointed at the picture

"Matching sweaters" Sabrina said looking horrified

"Yikes" Rory agreed looking at the picture

"Well let's go" Sabrina said snapping everyone out of their gaze on the picture

"Seems a little early for that." Jess whispered to Sabrina as they walked by a crying girl

"It never is" Sabrina whispered back
