Even though Ember knew that it would never work between them, for he was of the water and she was fire, Aqualad believed differently. He knew they were meant to be together, and that they could show the people from her world that it shouldn't be forbidden for two elements to fall in love with each other.

ADDITIONAL NOTES :
━ This plot was inspired by the animated film Elemental. I recently watched it again with my kids and it somehow inspired this plot lol. And I'm not disappointed because now Ember and Kal own my heart, though I'm not sure I'll have time to write them myself so here we are.

━ The title was inspired by the Vivisteria flower from the movie. It's a flower that can exist in any environment of the elements, including fire. It will have important significance to the story and Ember's relationship with Kaldur, as well as her childhood. I am willing to let you change the title, only if you run your idea by me first.

━ Feel free to change up the summary a little bit, but please keep it mostly the same as it is now.

━ You don't have to use the two quotes if you don't want to. They're quotes from the movie that I thought were cute for Kaldur to say to Ember.

━ The name of their planet (Emanteel) is actually an anagram for the word elemental.

━ All the elements except for the fire people live in the city, whilst the fire people live in a run-down area called Firetown. The reason they are there is not only because there's a lot of water in the city and they could be killed, but the city people believe they'll end up burning everything to the ground. The fire people have always been discriminated against simply because their powers are destructive and can bring ruin to everything.

━ Growing up, Ember was raised to one day take over her father's shop, The Fireplace, but that isn't what she wanted in life. Ember wanted to find her own purpose in life and make her family proud by doing so. Becoming Lumena was her dream, but it put a strain on her relationship with her family.

━ Driven by her desire to please her family and mostly her father, Ember takes things very seriously and will most likely get annoyed by the way the other sidekicks behave sometimes, mostly on missions. She's also kind, good-hearted, has a good sense of humor (sometimes) and she respects her family unconditionally. She is aware of how much her parents sacrificed for her and is ready to repay their sacrifices by making them proud of her actions as Lumena.

━ However, Ember has her flaws. She has a really bad temper, and this causes her flames to turn purple and create explosions. Growing up, her temper was always more evident when it came to something that had to do with her family's shop. Not only had her family never understood that the shop wasn't her dream, but the behavior of the customers caused her to become impatient with their negligence. Her fiery temper also gives her problems being able to connect with others, so it will take time for her to befriend the other sidekicks.

━ Ember used to be and still somewhat is indecisive and fearful when it comes to choosing between her family's dreams and her own. They were very upset with her when she left to become Lumena, as her father intended for her to run the shop literally right before she left (he was throwing a retirement party and everything to announce she was taking over), so she is doing everything that she possibly can to show her parents that this is her dream and that it matters more to her than running the shop ever did.

━ Ember actually hasn't spoken to her parents since she left Emanteel. This is something Ember struggles with on a daily basis because her family meant everything to her and she feels as though she betrayed them and has broken their hearts by leaving and not running the shop like they wanted.

━ Ember's father has always had a prejudice against water people because they are capable of killing fire people by completely distinguishing their flame. This is a reason why Ember won't give into her feelings for Kaldur straight away. She knows it's dangerous, that she could probably die, or she could potentially evaporate and kill him. But most importantly, she doesn't want to betray her father's trust by falling in love for a water person, especially since she's already put a strain on their relationship by leaving to become Lumena.

━ Ember and Kaldur are obviously very much a slow-burn. I currently don't have a specific time on when they can get together, but that's something we can discuss and figure out together.

━ However, even after they get together, Ember will want to keep it a secret because again, she doesn't want to hurt her parents more than she already has.

━ Her father's name is Burni and her mother's name is Cinder. I don't have a face claim for her mother, but I do have one for her father. He is portrayed by Iroh from ATLA.

━ Lumen's real name is actually Ash Smokeson. I don't have a face claim for him yet but that's something we can figure out together. Though, I'd prefer it was someone from ATLA.

━ There are obviously more details regarding Ember and this story but everything else will be revealed privately to the person who adopts this plot to avoid spoilers for readers.
