crazy how you turn one story into another
not even knowing the facts
yet you've created a different character
than the one that i wrote
they're making up lies to deface me
and everyone refuses to tell me
so what do i do and
who do i drop
some friendships will be ruined
but maybe i am better off

i thought i had the upper hand
but once again everything came tumbling down
i had once worn that crown
now i dont fit in in this town
i've been terminated
now i'm suspended from the bridge
i'm just waiting to be saved

i am now pulling away
i really couldn't care less what they all say
but if you're gonna drag my name through the mud
at least make sure that you're telling the truth in the matter
i'm so tired of tryna make myself seem pure
but now i know, i know, i know
there ain't really no point in t try ing
when everyone's already made up they're minds

9 weeks until those summer days
when everything should fade away
spring break isn't too far away
maybe i will live to see another day
