A/N: I'm uploading this like 8 hours before its coming out because I have been slacking off lmao.

Nico sat next to Cassie in the room that was apparently usually saved for therapy sessions and looked at the two teens across from them.

"I know this can be a bit overwhelming, so you can ask any questions you want." Nico had just had this conversation with one of the demigods he was protecting from Gotham, so he was basically a pro.

"Does this mean I get more super powers?" Bart said excitedly.

Nico sighed. "Most likely no. There is a high probability that you are a second or third generation legacy. We know it's not from your Dad's side, but your mom's side could have a demigod anywhere in the ancestral history. That usually limits attributes gained."

Bart sunk in his seat slightly. "That's less crash."

"Can I visit camp?" Cass signed with excitement shining in her eyes.

Nico let out a small chuckle. "Yes, both of you will actually have to visit camp if you want to learn more information about our world. I'm happy to tell you the basics, but I do not like to go into detail about the wars."

Bart nodded. "Valid. Speaking of learning demigod secrets— who knows?"

"Just the Bats and Cassie."

"I know because I am a child of Zeus— or was one at least. I no longer really count as a demigod, but I thought it would be better to talk to two people versus just one." Cassie's beaming smile was almost blinding.

"Do all the bats know, or just the immediate family?"

Nico suppressed a chuckle about his phrasing. "Most of them know. I have yet to meet some of the extended group, but I have been told they are at least aware of me, if not my lineage as well."

"So who do you think my godly relative is?"

Nico shrugged. "I have my theories, but it's common curtsy not to theories about that stuff with unclaimed kids."

Cassie nodded. "I remember when I met Nico, he refused to even talk about the idea of theorizing who my dad was. Jokes on him, we're cousins."

Bart raised an eyebrow. "Batman told us that gods don't have genes so no one is related."

"Yeah, but children of the big three count each other as cousins anyways. We are more at risk for monster attacks, deity attacks, and also random quests from annoying gods." Thunder rumbled outside of the mountain, but Nico just ignored it and continued. "My step-mother once basically tricked my cousins and I into doing a quest for her by luring us together and then ripping us into the underworld."

Bart and Cass stared at him in surprise. Nico had forgotten that Cass hadn't heard that story before.

"What?"

Nico shrugged. "Not the worst quest/godly task I've been a part of."

Cassie raised an eyebrow. "What is?"

"I had to get a staff thing from Cupid once and he thought it would be funny to basically out me in the most traumatic way possible... fucking cunt."

Now the entire group was just staring at him with dropped jaws. He let the silence resinate for a few moment longer before clapping his ands and standing up.

"Well, now that we're done discussing everything, I'm gonna go check on the others. Remember, don't tell anyone about our world or the gods might smite you, use the knives I gave you if a monster comes after you, and do your best not to bad mouth the gods."
