"Yes, today afternoon appointment if possible. Anika will be at school and I will be free at that time."
"Ok, sure, I will take an appointment and inform you."
I dialled the extension for the gynaec opd and took an appointment. I also took the radiologist appointment in case she is asked for an ultrasound. Just in case.
"Your appointment is confirmed. You need to be at the hospital at 3.15." I inform kiara to receive a small "hmm. "
She was lacking confidence.
Cherry is also scared of such things.
Kiara needed support.
"Kiara, listen to me. It's just a small appointment. There's no need to be nervous. Dr. Tanvi is very kind and affectionate."
"It's my first time visiting a hospital alone."
"I will not be very busy during that time, just rounds only, I will accompany you when you are here and leave you only when you are at the doctor's cabin. Why worry when I am here."
"Thanks."
I called Dr.Tanvi in her personal number from my mobile.
T: Dr.Tanvi
A: Hello, Dr. Tanvi, Dr.Aarav Sinha here.
T: Yes, Dr. Aarav, tell me.
A: There's a patient in your OPD today afternoon. Miss Kiara Shah, she is a friend of mine. She was a little nervous today and she is alone too.
T: I understand, Dr. Aarav. An unmarried girl going to a gynaecologist is very difficult. It takes a lot of courage from their side. Not so easy. Please be relaxed I will take care of her properly.
A: Thanks, I got relieved. Please keep me informed.
T: let me see her first. I will tell you if something is serious.
Time skip to evening - 4.30
Kiara was now at my cabin after the appointment. She was somewhat upset. Not because of her health but because I didn't let her pay her fees.
"Aarav, I had a visit, so I should pay my fees. Why did you pay it? At least, tell me how much expense it was."
"The fees weren't much. I am telling you once again, if Anika is my friend, so you are too. Had Anika been here, had I let her pay? No. So is there a difference if you come here."
"What about the cost of our vaccines?"
"Same reason for vaccines too. How can I take money from you both. Now stop this discussion. Tell me did you feel comfortable with Dr. Tanvi."
"Yes she was very kind. I was comfortable with her."
I chose not to ask her anything about her appointment, and I don't have any right either.
I was sure she would share it with Anika. If there is anything serious, which probably be won't, I will get it to know from both Anika and Dr. Tanvi.
We both chatted for some more time before she left for school to pick Anika.
Harsh was coming inside my cabin when she was leaving. They saw each other faces, just waved, and she left.
"Hi, how was kiara here?" He asks and sits.
"I had told her to get checked by a doctor for some of her issues. Not by me, of course. She came as she was free and Anika was at school." I tell Harsh only that info he can know, not getting into the details.
He nodded, and his attention went to the pass Mr. Singhania had given me.
"From where did you get this pass? Will you attend"
"My patient's father gave me. I don't know whether I am going or not. And who to take with me is another question. It is for 2 people."
"You will take Anika with you. Girls like such kinds of events. Is it only for couples?"
What an idea Harsh gave.
"No, it's open for friends, also even siblings too. Good idea, I was not feeling good after ruining her break from school because of vaccines. I will take her with me."

"What will you wear, let's get you a new outfit. It should be something nice." I say as I knew he doesn't have such clothes.
"Yes, even Cherry too. How about I get her a new dress." Aarav adds.
He was correct.
"You want to buy a new dress for Anika for the event. But how, it should be a surprise. How will you buy one without her."
"Need to figure out something."
Just then someone knocked.
"Come in."
Aarav's intern.
"Dr. Sinha. I got the reports you asked for." The intern says.
"Sure. Dr Anika. Keep it here."
He has gone crazy.
I check the name written in her badge.
Dr. Shruti.
"She is not Anika but Dr. Shruti." I say to bring him to reality.
"Oh, Yes. Dr. Shruti. My mistake."
They both started discussing over their patients so i picked up files from his table to read.
"My shift ends and so is yours. Come let's go" I heard Aarav saying to his intern after sometime.
"Harsh, come let's go shopping."
"With her" I say in front of the Dr. Shruti.
"Yes, do you mind."
"No, I don't mind, but I can't join you as my shift hasn't ended."
"Ok, bye" Aarav says and leaves with the intern.
