Always the Bridesmaid, Never the Bride

Meeting

I woke up bright and early the next morning and got ready for my meeting. Today we were finally getting a new employee to help me with my weddings.

When I made it to the office I placed my stuff in my room and made my way to the conference room. Sofia my assistant came in shortly with my coffee. I sat there waiting for more people to file in.

Around 10am the room was full as my boss made it up to the front. "Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well this morning. Today we have a new person coming in." She said as she pointed to the back of the room. I turned around to see the hottest guy in the entire world. He looked about 6'4 which wasn't bad speaking that I was 5'11. That meant I could wear heels if we dated. I studied him some more. Long eyelashes, dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He also had a great build. We would have the cutest kids together! Wait Megan what the heck?!

I was falling for him. Hard. He began to speak. "I'm Jack Brewer, I'm 28 and single." He said while winking at the secretaries at the front. They giggled and whispered to each other. Wait are my ears deceiving me? How is he single? "How are you single?" I said out loud. Gosh I'm an idiot! Why did I say that? I'm his co-worker! He smiled at me and then said, "I haven't found the right girl yet." He winked at me and I died. Like you do when the man of your dreams winks at you.

After the meeting where I totally oogled over him the entire time. I had to start work. I made my way to his office room to ask him to come with me to a couple of the venues. I never got nervous around people but that's all I feel around him. Luckily he said yes.

We walked to my car and then we were off. While I was driving I felt his stare on me. I was uncomfortable, but I liked the attention. After a while I decided to talk. "So why did you decide to become a wedding planner?" "Oh well I've always believed in happily ever after and fairytales. And I thought if I can give that to someone then why not?" He stole my heart at that moment. "Corny I know." He let out a laugh and then smiled at me. "Not at all. I've always been into weddings. I have 5 sisters. 4 are married and the other is engaged." "Oh that's cool! So whay about you?" "What about me?" "What's your relationship status?" "Single." Wait why was he asking? OMGOSH what if he likes me? Megan get yourself together. You like this guy but he's way out of your league. So don't mess it up, and don't get heart broken. I scolded my self. Your heart can't take anymore of that.
