With every step to house number 23, my feet felt a little heavy. I took another step and wondered if what I was doing was right? Another step and I wondered if it really mattered? And another step and I wondered if I was ready to trust him? And one final step before I stood in front of his doorstep. I wondered if he would choose Myung Joo over me?

The door opened with a sudden pull and there stood Minho in his dark T-shirt and sweatpants. His hair looked freshly washed and his eyes turned into little crescents when he smiled at me. "You're a whole minute late, miss y/n." He said sassily and that's when all my wandering thoughts vanished in thin air. I don't care how wrong this might be but with him? Everything feels right as if that first ray of sunshine after a dark night.

"Y/n?" He waved his hand in front of my face as I couldn't help but say, "I love you." It came out so naturally that I felt I've said this to him a thousand times. His cheeks turned pink and a smile was evident on his face as he said, "I love you too." Again, it sounded too natural as if we've been saying this for a thousand years.

"Come in." He opened the door wide and when I stepped in, I realized just how rich this man was. The professors at my university were rich no doubt but Lee Minho was different. His house was way bigger than I imagined and it looked so posh that I felt embarrassed to imagine how untidy I left my room in the morning. "Your place is beautiful." I said as I kept gawking at every little detail. His house smelled fresh like lillies and I heard soft mewls coming from somewhere.

I spotted three cats walking towards the door where me and Minho stood. My heart immediately melted at the sight. The cats were wearing funky looking outfits which I'm sure was Minho's idea. "I think I love your cats more." I said and patted the cats back slowly as one of the cats leaned into my touch.

"I think they love you too." He said. "This is soonie and those two are dori and doongi." He introduced me to them. I wanted to take all three of them home.

My eyes landed on the wall in front of me. It was filled with photo frames which made me curious. I picked soonie in my arms and walked towards the frames. I couldn't help but smile because most of the pictures belonged to his childhood. He was a naughty kid I could tell and he smiles the same way even today. Then I looked at the frame which had his family. And then the cats of course and lastly the photo frames of his college days.

He gave the vibes of a studious kid. My eyes caught Myung Joo in the background of Minho's photo. She was just as pretty as she is today. But it made me realize that she will always be the first in his life. First love, first kiss and probably first —

"I was handsome wasn't I?" He asked as soonie leaped from my arms to his. "You were okay." I teased him as he glared at me. "You're not funny." He taunted with a glimpse of playfulness too. "You're not handsome." I said again and he kept soonie down before walking towards me slowly. "Say it again." He commanded. I repeated it again, loving the reactions I was receiving.
