Way of the Ninja {Part 2}

I felt the ground shake and rumble violently. What in the world were they doing!?

A moment later the ninja flew out of a large crack that had just formed in the rocky surface, and they were doing spinjitzu! As they disappeared out of sight I slipped across the rocky outcrop and leapt down into the large crack.

I listened for a moment. I heard a rumble of pain coming from under some ruble. I ran over and shifted into a (f/c) (f/t) dragon. I used all of my strength to lift the rubble off of the poor dragon. The dragon got up with a grateful huff then looked me in the eyes. It was far taller and older than I am maybe around 12 ft with a muscular body. It perked up for a moment after reading my soul and I read his.

"You're a dragon shifter! I thought you all disappeared! This is great news!" The dragon bounced around happily, shaking the entire ground as it did so.

"Yeah. I am (y/n) by the way" I smile.

"I'm Rocky the guardian- er- was the guardian of the Scythe of Quakes" Rocky smiled back though it faltered a bit at the mention of the scythe of quakes.

"Hey it's okay Rocky. It's in good hands" I said reaching my head forward and Rocky did the same as we touched our foreheads together, a symbol of comfort between dragons.

"What do you mean?" Rocky asked after he calmed down a little.

"The Master of Earth has it now" I gently rumbled soothingly.

"Oh... OH! OH MY GOSH I JUST ATTACKED THE MASTER OF EARTH" Rocky let out a loud panicked roar,

"Really it's fine they know you were just doing your job" Is rumbled in attempts to comfort the panicking dragon.

"Okay. Phew. Right. Deep breaths Rocky" Rocky growled to themselves.

"It is really ironic though cause is his afraid of dragons" I chuckled.

"HAHAHA No way!" Rocky laughed.

We both laughed together then sighed falling into a comfortable silence.

"So, your young to be a dragon shifter, why are you with your parents" Rocky said breaking the silence.

"One is dead while the other.... I would rather not talk about" I said looking down at the ground, it looks so much more interesting at the moment.

"What was the other parent... ya know.... corrupted" Rocky said carefully.

"No, but the way she acted after dad died to a corrupted made her seem like one" I growled anger and grief flaring up within me.

"I am so sorry" Rocky said sympathetically, touching his forehead to mine.

"Thanks, I'm just glad I got away from that piece of-" I thanked Rocky.

"Whoa whoa whoa language there missy" Rocky playfully growled.

"Whaaaaaatt, me? Nooooooo. I would never." I played along smirking.

We both stared at each other until be both burst into laughter.

"HAHaha.... I probably should go I don't want to worry them" I said smiling still.

"Right see ya! I'll probably be here." Rocky smiled and we parted ways.

~Coles POV~ 

After being scolded by Master Wu about using the Scythe of Quakes, which we were quick to blame Kai, I noticed (y/n) wasn't here.

"Hey um Sensi where is (y/n)?" I asked looking around for her. Jay and Zane tensed, and worry filled their gaze.

"Aah, I sent her back to the carriage shall we go there now?" Master Wu smiled.

"Okay" I said relaxing, along with Jay and Zane.

"What's up with you guys and (y/n)?" Kai asked as we slowly made our way back to the carriage.

"What do you mean?" Zane asked Kai, confused.

"Well, she disappears for a second you almost freak out and whenever she needs help you help her immediately" Kai explained.

"Kai. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt since you obviously don't know her well enough yet." Jay said a-matter-of-factly.

"She's really sweet and adorable once she warms up to you" Cole said supporting what Jay said.

"Don't we still have to find her parents?" Kai asked.

"I believe that is not something we will need to worry about" Master Wu piped up from in front of the four ninjas.

"What do you mean by that Sensi?" Zane asked.

"Look we have arrived" Wu exclaimed as we were walking up to the 'horse' carriage.

In the 'horse' carriage sat (y/n)'s small form, her head tilted in our direction, while her eyes were focused on the movement of her feet as they swung forward and back.

"(y/n)!" Jay exclaimed rushing forward. (y/n) smiled and leapt down from the carriage and hugged Jay.

"We figured out the key to spinjitzu you should have seen it!" Jay excitedly explained to (y/n) what happened down in the cave.

"You saw a dragon!" (y/n) exclaimed her eyes lighting up in excitement. It was so adorable.

I have a feeling though that this won't be the last we see of those skeletons.
