Loud noise of the engine echoed through the lonesome area as two siblings had now reached their destination. Y/n put the bike on stand and took off their helmet as they looked at their brother—both of them nodded their head and stepped forward to carry out their mission. Y/n rang the bell as they noticed the dusty walls and faded paint of the familiar summer mansion. It felt nostalgic because they used to spend their vacations here with their grandparents and learn many things.
Suddenly, they are brought back from their trance when their Father welcomed them with a blank expression on his face.
Without giving any mind at the older sibling's arrival, Kohei gave a smile to Tsuyoshi and went inside. Y/n mentally scoffed.
'He doesn't have to be bitter to his own child.'
Both the siblings then followed him inside as he led them to the drawing room. The three family members acquired their seats.
Y/n took a deep breath, mentally preparing themselves to have a heartfelt conversation with Kohei. They knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to express their thoughts and feelings in a compassionate and persuasive manner.
"Dad, listen, I know there's stuff about Sae and Mom, but don't stress too much. Mom has made a promise to Grandpa to keep things professional with her. So, trust her, okay?" Y/n spoke with a calm and reassuring demeanor, trying to ease their father's worries and instill confidence in him. They chose their words carefully, aiming to persuade him to trust their mother's commitment.
Tsuyoshi added onto it,
"Dad, I get how you've been feeling all these years...it's tough to know that your partner chose someone else before you. But, you should also understand that, your partner has promised to stick with you only."
Kohei slumped his shoulders and ran a hand through his hair. Clearly showing the impact of the siblings' words. He didn't give in to them but he also didn't want to argue. His mind was already occupied with events of last night with his wife that they still lingered in there.
Y/n and Tsuyoshi, both glanced at each other and mentally communicated as they observed their Father's silent response. After a while, they heard him speak.
"Children...I don't think you should interfere in this matter. I do trust your mother a lot..but I can't say the same about Sae. I just can't forget her face when she looks so longingly at Touka... I'm sorry if I'm sounding too jealous. But I've been in love with your mother since highschool, sadly, she never saw me like how I wanted her to. Eventually I moved on with time as we graduated, but then her Father asked me if I wanted to marry her...and my once buried feelings were reborn. I couldn't help myself feeling broken when I found out that I'm nothing more than a forced husband that her Father married her to. And Sae's relationship with her acted as salt to my wounds..." His voice wavered as he felt his insides ache.
'His emotional being's been affected all these years and he had no one to talk to...' Y/n thought as sudden sadness and guilt started palpating inside them. Tsuyoshi didn't seem to react any differently.
"Dad...you can rely on us now. You can let out everything, it's alright to feel that way. We're always here for you." Y/n comforted as Tsuyoshi nodded along, both maintaining a soft expression. Kohei's face eased as he listened to them. He could feel the sincerity in their words and that soothed his heart. He'd never had an emotional talk with them before, so it was his first time seeing this caring side of his children.
"I'm so grateful to have children like you two..." He expressed with glistening eyes filled with love.
Y/n gently suggested, their voice filled with compassion. "Coming back home and facing these challenges together as a family will help us all heal and move forward, Dad."
Tsuyoshi nodded in agreement, his voice filled with determination. "We're stronger together, Dad. We can support each other through this. Mother has been missing you as well, she's been trying to call you since last night. She wants us together again."
Kohei looked at his children, contemplating their words. He could see the love and concern in their eyes, and it touched his heart. After a moment of silence, he let out a deep sigh.
"You're right, my dear children," Kohei admitted, his voice tinged with a mix of sadness and hope. "I don't want to let this issue ruin our family. My insecurity won't overpower the love and trust I have built for my family...let's go back home and work through this together. I'm grateful to have both of you by my side."
Y/n and Tsuyoshi exchanged relieved smiles, knowing that their words had resonated with their father. They embraced him tightly, feeling a renewed sense of unity within their family.

Meanwhile
Kisaki tetta sat across his partner Hanma Shuji as both of them sipped on their Fantas while discussing.
"What do ya plan to do with Y/n? Are they even worth that much money?" Hanma asked in a bored tone receiving a smirk from the other male. Kisaki adjusted in his seat and leaned forward, displaying an evil grin as he replied,
"They're my ultimate move in this game."
"How so?"
"Y/n's an excellent manipulator," He answered as he took a pause to smile wider, "And since Y/n will be under my control, I'll indirectly be able to dictate Mikey's moves and influence him. Gradually, I'll take full control over him and he himself will offer me the highest position there is, after his own." A similar grin spread across Hanma's face upon hearing this. Kisaki seemed even more interesting to him now. But along with that, this detail about Y/n also piqued his interest. He expected Y/n to have some exceptional abilities, and this was just one of them, he mentally concluded.
"It's gonna get fun now asn Y/n's gonna enter the picture." Hanma commented while finishing his can and tossing it into the bin. Kisaki just hummed in response as he still sipped on his drink.
After a few seconds of silence, something popped in Hanma's head that he had almost forgotten to talk about,
"Oh! What about that platinum haired guy you met the other day? I didn't get one thing that you two conversed, but it seemed pretty serious."
Kisaki stopped drinking upon the mention of a certain acquaintance which he had recently met. His demeanor immediately turned into a serious one as he began to speak,
"His name's Kurokawa Izana. And he's apparently Mikey's worst enemy right now." Hanma listened carefully as Kisaki continued,
"And guess why that's so? Because Mikey's his brother." He laughed as Hanma's brows furrowed in confusion.
"Huh?"
"Yeah. Kurokawa is Mikey's half brother. I don't have the details yet but he wants to destroy Mikey and Toman."
Hanma let out an amused laugh and commented, "Another family goin' down."
Kisaki hummed and explained further.
"Mikey ain't even aware about his existence yet. And this guy has dedicated his whole life to make Mikey's miserable. It's funny actually, but nonetheless, a big opportunity for us."
"Hell yeah." Hanma cheered, still maintaining the sly grin on his face ever since his partner started talking. Kisaki wondered if his cheeks ever hurt from grinning that much, but he shook that random thought off and continued sipping while thinking about what he should do with Y/n.
