The Window Sill

Looking down the window sill
Seeing life unfold
I remember your touch
And how my hands you'd hold

Now we have drifted far apart day by day
The chasm of light is widening away
Wish to get you back but there seems no way
So I continue to live with growing dismay.

How soft were your lips like petals of rose
Light danced in your eyes when I looked close
But now the light is there no more
And only thorns were left when deceit you chose

Hope every day you'll burn in hell
But am still intoxicated by your smell
Oh how from your graces I fell
When I asked to be treated well

Now looking down the window sill
I remember your hold
As the night grows cold
I shall slip away, bleeding on the road

Many times the relationships we form are so tender and loving while they last but they end in such a way that causes us deep pain and anguish in such cases we feel great despair  and Insecurity. Moving on as is the zeitgeist term then becomes painful and heart wrenching but all the same necessary.
