Tristan

I open the door of my best friends house to see him and his cousin Phoebe at the door. I haven't seen her since she was 12.

"Hey Phoebe, it's been a while.." I say, why do I sound so nervous. And why is she staring at me like she wants to kill me?

"Hey." Says Phoebe, brushing past me quick.

Jeez what was her deal? Is she still mad about what happened when we were kids? But it didn't even matter that much! Not my fault she can't protect herself well. Oh god did her memory come back..

"Don't worry about her she's just tired." Said Leo, walking in with her bag.

I shut the door and walked into the kitchen to find Cherri hugging Phoebe while crying.

"Oh my Phoebe! It's been so long darling, how have you been, how's Winnie?" Said Cherri, holding on tight to Phoebe.

"I'm okay and mom is doing fine," said Phoebe, as aunt Cherri let go of her, "I've missed it here so much!"

"Oh sit sit sit dear I'll make you some waffles!"

"How did you know they were my favorite?"

"I've seen your instagram, sweetheart. Every breakfast photo is a picture of waffles."

Aunt Cherri starts on her waffles and sees me standing by the corner.

"Tristan can you help me with these dishes please, dear?" she says pointing at the plates in the sink.

  "Yes ma'am." I say grabbing a sponge.

The nerve of Phoebe. Why is she just sitting there and watching us cook and clean for her. I bet she's still a massive snitch too. Ugh why is she staring at me like that? Is she not capable of picking up a broom? This is our house not a hotel.

Aunt Cherri finishes her waffles and tops them with blueberries. This girl is crazy, she doesn't want syrup or anything else. She just wants blueberries...

"Thank you so much they look delicious!" Said Phoebe, getting ready to cut them.

  "Of course, dear!" Said Cherri.

Wonder who's gonna have to clean the plate when she's done. Oh wait! Me.

Don't get me wrong I love helping Cherri around the house. She's just like a mom to me. She's always been there for every soccer game, every chess tournament, even when I was assigned to do the lights in the school play she still came. I owe so much to that lovely woman, she's done so much for me and I adore her deeply.

Phoebe finishes her waffles and aunt Cherri immediately takes the plate from her.

"Don't you worry about dishes, Phoebe, just relax while you're here!" Said Cherri.

Okay I love her but man is she too nice sometimes.

"Are you sure? I feel bad." Said Phoebe.

"Now don't you worry at all, Tristan and Leo help out around here, you just rest. I know how hard it's been back at home."

"Thank you auntie," said Phoebe hugging her.
