Ishan stood watching the setting sun, his hands on the railing, gazing over the horizon. He watched the sun descend leaving the sky with hues of pink, purple, and oranges. The evening wind ruffled his silky strands as he closed his eyes gently to take the moment in.

His mind raced with thoughts of the previous night. He kept thinking about everything that had happened and everything that Shubman said. Last night, he was angry. Very angry. But now after his anger dissipated, his other emotions started playing their tricks. He felt sad, confused, guilty even. He kept thinking if it was his fault like Shubman pointed out. Maybe he really was being unnecessarily touchy with people? Maybe Shubman's right for getting mad?

He ran a hand through his hair in frustration, not knowing his own thoughts. He was avoiding going back to his room. He didn't wanna face Shubman just yet. All the things that the younger said last night still clawed at his heart and mind. He skillfully avoided Shubman the whole day and didn't want to meet him just yet. As he was immersed in his thoughts, someone tapped him on the shoulder from behind.

He was startled for a moment but when he turned around, he was met with a confused Jadeja.

" What are you still doing here? Aren't you done with practice?"

" No Bhaiya, I'm just looking at the view. I'll get going now." with that Ishan walked towards the locker rooms. He took a quick shower and changed into fresh clothing. As he was setting things in his lockers, he felt someone entering the room. He looked in that direction only to be met with the pair of black orbs that he'd been avoiding till now. But the very second he realized that it was Shubman, he went back to his work ignoring his presence.

" Hey!"

Ishan doesn't acknowledge the call but gathers his things and starts to walk for the door.

" Ishan, I'm sorry." The younger said holding the other by his hand.

Ishan looked up at the other lad, he could see the whirlwind of emotions behind those eyes that he love so much.

" Why? for ruining my birthday? or maybe for insulting me? Or was it because...."

" Ishan... please, listen to me." The younger pleaded.

" You were not ready to listen to what I had to say yesterday. Now why should I?"

" Please darling, I was drunk yesterday and..."

" And you think that is an excuse? Just because you had a few drinks it doesn't mean that you could say whatever you want."

" No. I don't mean it like that. I'm not trying to find excuses...."

" It doesn't matter. I don't wanna talk to you right now." with that Ishan left the room leaving behind a very guilty Shubman.

That night Ishan didn't even return to their place and the younger was worried about his whereabouts. He tried calling the elder but was met with silence as Ishan wouldn't pick up his calls. He couldn't even fall asleep because of the guilt that had been eating him up. He misses the warmth of Ishan's embrace, his contagious laughter, his silly jokes, and his comforting presence. He kept tossing and turning on the bed not knowing what to do. The night seemed much longer and colder without Ishan by his side.

The next morning, he was determined to make things right no matter what. He got ready for the day and reached early for the practice hoping to find Ishan there. But to his disappointment, he was the only one there. Still, he didn't let his hopes down, he started his warm-up routine to take his mind off of the negative thoughts.

After some time, his teammates started joining him one by one. But his eyes kept searching for only a certain someone. And soon enough, Ishan walked to the field chatting with Rishab. He was laughing at something Rishab had said. Shubman approached them and was greeted with a friendly hug from Rishab. He pulled back and looked at Ishan with a hesitant smile.
