Intro

Alexandra Jade Castillo, commonly known as Lexi, was born on March 3, 1997, in a small town in New Mexico, USA. She grew up in a bustling household with her older siblings Isabella, Benjamin, Gabrielle, and Theodore, as well as her younger siblings Charlotte, Christopher, and Nicholas. However, their upbringing was far from conventional.

Lexi's parents, Rosa Estella Carvajal-Castillo and Rafael Javier Castillo, struggled with addiction and were often absent from their children's lives. Lexi and her siblings were left to fend for themselves, navigating the challenges of childhood without the guidance and support of their parents. Despite the adversity they faced, Lexi and her siblings formed a tight-knit bond, relying on each other for love and stability.

With her parents unable to provide a stable home environment, Lexi found solace and purpose on the soccer field. From a young age, she showed immense talent and passion for the sport, channelling her energy into training and competing with her local youth club, Rio Rapids Soccer Club. Soccer became Lexi's refuge, a place where she could escape the turmoil of her home life and focus on her dreams of becoming a professional player.

Despite the obstacles she faced, Lexi excelled both on and off the field. She attended local schools in her town, where she continued to hone her soccer skills while also excelling academically. Lexi's dedication and hard work caught the attention of professional scouts, leading to offers from prestigious soccer programs across the country.

After graduating high school, Lexi faced a pivotal decision about her future. With the support of her siblings and coaches, she chose to pursue her soccer career at the professional level, foregoing college to dedicate herself fully to the sport. Throughout her early career, Lexi distinguished herself as one of the most promising young talents in the country, catching the eye of professional teams and earning a spot on the United States Women's National Soccer Team.

Lexi's journey from adversity to triumph serves as a testament to her resilience and determination. Despite the challenges she faced growing up, she never lost sight of her dreams and remained steadfast in her pursuit of success. Today, Lexi continues to inspire others with her talent, leadership, and unwavering spirit both on and off the soccer field.
