Cecilia slumped into her chair once again, shaking her head at the two dejected puppies before her, the Duke of the North was punished to dust all the shelves while the master of the magic tower was made to brew 32 Healing Potions. Cecilia could only sigh at the chaos the two men had brought to her doorsteps, she thought about how her once mundane life had changed into a journey full of twists and turns, she once dreamt about escaping the mundane but now she was stuck with the Duke of the North, the master of the magic tower, and an incomprehensible level of Alchemy,
She opened the drawer of the registry and uncovered a journal, she had noted down every potion she made along with the process and succession rate in it, her soft hands traced the engraving of the journal before she flipped open the book, landing at the very page that changed her life. "A Potion to Set Things Right" she read aloud, everything changed since she drank that potion, she had no way of telling whether her fate changed due to this potion or if this had always been her fate since the sky was formed, sighing, she looked up to see that the duke and Enkh had taken an interest in her activity, standing and leaning forward only a few centimeters from her,
"Did I tell you to stop" Cecilia smiled threateningly, her voice stern and as cold as ice, the two men quickly scooted away and return to their respective duties while the Alchemist sighed again, she knew she needed to find the reason for this sudden change of course, but she doesn't know how. Cecilia stretched on her seat before standing up and grabbing her messenger bag made of cheap leather, a gift from Theresa eons ago, "Boys, I will be running an errand" she notified the two men, she had decided that sitting and thinking wouldn't get her anywhere, she will read every tome about potion brewing if she had to,
"Master–" Before Enkh could finish his words, the bell above the door rang, notifying them that a customer had entered the store,
"Welcome–" Cecilia gasped at the sight of the angelic smile, his blond hair, and blue eyes with a bouquet of roses in his arms, the Prince came with his servants, behind them was a carriage marked with the Empire's emblem.
"The Crown Prince, Cornelius Alexey de Ilias, of the Ilias Empire" one of the servants announced as the Crown Prince entered the store, the prince she met was indeed the Crown Prince himself. Without missing a beat the servant cleared his throat before continuing, a royal decree in his hands.
"His Highness is here to extend an invitation, to the Alchemist, Miss Cecilia"
The Crown Prince knelt before Cecilia and handed her the bouquet of roses, earning squeals from the bachelorettes outside for the romantic gesture.
"Miss Cecilia, I would like to invite you to the Spring Ball, may I have the honor to have you as my partner?" unknown to the innocent Crown Prince, Cecilia shrieked internally, cursing the very idea.
'Goddess Erdem, I just want to live a peaceful life'
