Cecilia smiled at the mustard-haired guy as she rings him up at the store the next day, she felt bad that she had even thought about punching the sh*t out of him just yesterday. She has decided to live peacefully as a clerk, she will deny any invitation by any of the Side or Main Characters, she quickly cleans the shelves behind her as the mustard-haired guy leaves, thankfully the store owner didn't check whether or not the store was open yesterday, how else would she explain that due to very unfortunate circumstances, she was almost made into a guinea pig by her very own sister.

The counter's bell rang and Cecilia swiftly turned around, her jaw dropped when she realized who it was, "D-duke" Cecilia stuttered, the duke stared at her intensely

'Sh*t is he mad that I bump into him yesterday, what do I do, is this my end?' Cecilia started to sweat nervously but then she saw it, the duke averted his gaze and blushed.

"I came to deliver you this" he held out his hand, revealing a white silk handkerchief with Cecilia's name engraved at the end, it was one of the few things her mother had left for her.

"I believe you dropped this yesterday" he added. But there was something off.

"How did you know where I work?" Cecilia blurted out, this caused the duke to blush more, did he stalk her? Where did he get the information that she works here,

"I was captivated by you so I did some digging, that's all" he confessed, scratching the back of his head with his tomato-like face, so he did stalk her, but why? She merely bumped into him when she wasn't paying attention, More importantly, he's the second male lead, why would he be interested in her and not the heroine?

"Thank you, kind sir, now if you may excuse me I have work to d–"

"It's time to close your shop, right? I understand, let me help" The duke's eyes sparkled, it was the same sparkle that the prince, her sister, and the Headmaster had shown yesterday, on top of that, he even knew when Cecilia closed the store, sighing, Cecilia let the man do whatever he wants, she has no energy to deal with such absurdity, and to her surprise, the duke actually could clean very well, it didn't take long for him to finish and because of that, Cecilia closed the store quicker than usual.

"Let me walk you ho–"

"No thank you, have a great day sir" Cecilia ran away. She had made an obedient puppy out of the warmonger.
