Enkh had used a protection spell to minimize the damage from the explosion and is now sitting quietly while drinking tea on the seat by the window as Cecilia cleaned the "Lab" She knew she had f*cked up. Being caught red-handed utilizing the forbidden "Lab" and almost causing chaos with an explosive potion, Cecilia prepared for the worst.
"You, come closer" the master of the magic tower commanded, letting out a small yelp at the sudden noise breaking the silent atmosphere, Cecilia stood beside Enkh with her head hanging low, she had heard about how the master of the magic tower was ruthless in the battlefield and how he had conducted morally questionable experiments in the depths of the magic tower, but these are just rumors, right...?
The silence was deafening and Cecilia wished that she could crawl into a hole and be a hermit for the rest of her life even though she knew she needed to be held accountable for approaching the lab and using it without the master of the magic tower's approval.
"Interesting" Enkh muttered, looking at Cecilia with his sharp topaz eyes, Cecilia couldn't figure out what he was thinking and she didn't know if she wanted to, 'Some stones are best left unturned, or something like that.'
"When I hired you, I didn't know that you're an Alchemist, a very experienced one too" he closed his eyes, remembering the first time they met when Cecilia applied as a clerk at the potion store.
'Uh oh, I have a bad feeling about this'
"So uh Camillia"
"It's Cecilia"
"Right, Calamansi" Enkh nodded "I'm not that good with potions, as a master of the magic towers duty is to perform experiments and deploy battle mages to the battlefield so I must ask you this" he started, his eyes fluttered open, revealing the same sparkle Cecilia had been seeing the past few days, "What do you say about accepting me as your apprentice?" He exclaimed, His topaz eyes glittered
'I was right.'

Cecilia threw herself into her bed after escaping the master of the magic tower's absurd request, her? Accepting an apprentice? The master of the magic tower himself on top of that? She could see her peaceful life being thrown into the abyss if she had agreed, besides there were others who could probably teach the young man better than her.
She lays on her back as she watches the white ceiling above her, maybe the master of the magic tower will realize how absurd his request was and leave her alone tomorrow.
