Joong looked at Pond cockily.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with me?"
Pond mentally calculated the benefits of going for an evening walk with a friend. He hasn't gone anywhere for a long time, just work and work, especially since Joong talked with P'Tha and together they decided that Pond will be Joong's temporary partner for work. They spent a lot of time together but mostly working with script-writers and PR people. He was already bored with it. A quick glance at the schedule posted on the cork board for the next two days was enough to make a decision.
"Okie, I'm going with you".
Archen's eyes lit up. Gemini shook his head.
"Maybe I'll stay in the hotel? I'm in a wheelchair anyway, I'll just be in the way, I don't want to be unnecessary burden". He really wanted to "go" with them, but the thought of spoiling their fun made him hesitate. Fourth wouldn't let him.
"There is no question of staying in the room! Let's go! We didn't just come here to meet the fans, we also came here to have fun. Look at this beautiful winter outside! Do you really want to miss it?"
"I wish I could build a snowman or... Oh no, why do I have to be injured right now?!"
"Don't worry about that, I'll be with you all the time. Let's go. I bet we won't be much of burden for our friends". Fourth looked at Joong and Pond with question in his eyes.
Joong and Pond nodded.
"I don't know, I'll slow you down.
„You won't slow anyone down. Don't whine. Let's go! It's going to be fun!" Joong shouted happily and was about to leave when Pond grabbed his hand and stopped him. "What is it about?"
"Ahem, haven't you forgotten something?"
Joong frowned at them.
"Jacket, hat and scarf, Mr. Archen. It's the middle of winter, it's freezing cold, you can turn into mister Frost, that's what you want?" Pond was holding in his hands everything their friend had forgotten. As Fourth and Gemini looked at them, the same thought, or rather question, appeared in their heads: what do they have in common? Their behavior showed that it was more than just friendship. The way Pond dressed Joong, the tone of his voice when he spoke to him (much softer, nicer, just different than the one Pond used with his other friends) and the fiery, hot looks they gave each other formed a new theory in the minds of friends. After Pond and Joong left (Pond grabbed Joong's arm) and walked a little away, Fourth asked Gem a question.
"What do you think is going on between them?"
"Did you notice that too?"
"Mhm. This seems suspicious because you said Pond was Phuwin's boyfriend, right?"
"Do you think I should tell my brother about this?"
"Better not. What if we're wrong? We need more evidence. I suggest you watch them carefully."
"Listen, maybe we will record them "as if by accident" and post them on Instagram, and then the fans will help us decide whether we are the only ones who see it or whether there is really something between them?"
"No, it's stupid, we can cause unnecessary problems for them. I don't want to involve anyone else in this, it's a private matter."
Gemini felt embarrassed. Well, he didn't think it through, his idea was stupid and it relied too much on trusting fans who were de facto strangers and could even accidentally hurt them. Gem was used to talking to them, to spending time with them, to asking them for advice from time to time. Several times he even took polls on Instagram to help him choose his outfit for particular days or plan his day off. He liked these interactions with them, it made him feel closer to them, that he knew them better and trusted them. He didn't know that Fourth had a different experience with strangers on Instagram.
Due to Gemini's injury, P'Erin decreed that he would need a wheelchair. Gem didn't want to miss a meeting with his fans for anything in the world. He usually had a great time at such events and now he regretted that he wouldn't be able to dance.
Dance was his element. When he danced, he became a completely different person, he was able to bring out real fire in himself, although so far he hasn't had many opportunities to show it to his fans. Gemini dreamed of his own concert, where he would have the chance to fully present his skills. More than once he imagined that he was dancing, colorful lights were flashing around him, and the stands of the largest stadium in Thailand were filled to the brim with screaming and singing fans full of enthusiasm and good energy. He didn't have to tell anyone about it, he wanted to do everything he could to make it happen. He was stubborn and knew what he wanted. And yet now...
The meeting was scheduled the day before the Ski Jumping World Cup competition in Sapporo on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. The area was covered in a thick layer of snow, something that seemed unreal and magical in their native Thailand. Fourth was calmly pushing the wheelchair with Gem in front of him, and Joong and Pond were walking in front of them, a few steps ahead of them and talking carelessly about something. Fourth, taking advantage of the fact that Gem was in a wheelchair, gave him a hot water bottle with a cute, pink material with a penguin sewn on it, which Norawit immediately hid under the gray blanket with which he covered his legs. He didn't feel cold anymore, he felt pleasantly warm. He had a hat on his head, which he took from Fourth (Fifi had presciently taken two with him).
They spent the next few hours having great fun, and in the presence of their friends, Gem quickly forgot about the cold and his injuries. There was a lot of laughter, buying souvenirs, and at the end a short argument over the choice of restaurant where they were to eat before returning to the hotel. Fourth and Gem tried to keep a close eye on Joong and Pond.
When they finally returned to their rooms (Pond lived with Joong and Gem lived with Fourth), they said a quick "good night" and Fourth started helping Gem get ready for bed.
They had time for a quiet conversation in the bathroom. Gem immediately started with the topic that interested him most.
"I think they might be having an affair."
"Who?"
"Joong and Pond. You saw the way they looked at each other."
"You have no evidence."
"I don't have it, but I want to get it, and you have a choice: either you help me, or you go for a walk around the city, so you won't have to participate in it". Gemini didn't really leave him much of a choice.
"Okay, I'll help you". Fourth sighed resignedly.
When Gemini wrote about it many hours later in his diary on his laptop, and Fourth was already fast asleep, what intrigued and irritated him the most was the conversation with his own brother.
"Do you love him that much or have you just lost your mind?"
Gem again got another proof that love wasn't something easy or beautiful. Again alk he saw was pain and sadness.
