I met up with a couple of my 'brothers' to workout. They try their best to keep up with my routine and look embarrassed everytime they have to switch the weights, as if I have always been like this and they should be ashamed that they are not the same. If only they knew just a few years ago I couldn't even bench the bar.
This is my first time working out with them, and so far they are not nearly as irritating as some of my other brothers. They don't whine when I bench twice as much as them and they talk about things other than women and boobs, like how our classes are going and how hard our chem lecture is. But like all gym conversations usually fall to, women have to be discussed, and for once I don't minds because all I want to do is talk about her, my girlfriend, but I can't. Because we aren't supposed to be together. So I listen to my 'brother' talk about this woman in one of his classes that he thinks is beautiful. She is smart, and dedicated, and has no interest in dating before she gets her degree and he is undriven, with no idea what he wants or a future, and spends his nights partying rather than studying. And he is absolutely infatuated with her. My other 'brother' talks about this woman he slept with. He can't get her out of his head but he doesn't know how to tell her he wants more than a one night stand.
When they ask me about my love life I tell them nothing special, and literally bite my tongue to keep my face straight so they will not suspect a thing. They don't know me well enough to see that I am unfocused in my workouts, my mind drifting to her and telling my sister. It is all I can think about so when my phone pings, I am so desperate to check if it is from one of them that I don't even finish my rep and the two boys stare ag me baffles if asking how I got like this skipping reps. I didn't.
However it is not my sister or Alexandria. It is a number I do not know with an area code I don't recognize, that isn't unusual though. Everyone I knew on campus had a different area code from their hometowns. My 'brothers' continue their set while open the message and see a video attachment with no other words. At first I think it is a scammer but then I see Alexandria in the thumbnail.
I make sure my earbuds are in securely before pausing my music and hitting play on the video. It was clearly taken without her knowledge, the phone hidden behind a some sort of metal box, a napkin container perhaps.
"And that boyfriend of yours—" a voice behind the camera says.
Alexandria's face gives away her panic, her hands following the frantic plea that leaves her lips. "He's not my boyfriend!" I assume she is talking about me. "We're nothing, we're just fucking, nothing more."
I don't recognize the voice behind the camera but it is shrill and entitled. "We really can't let someone in who's dating a Kappa Theta Phi brother." Ah, miss president.
"I'm not! He's not even my type." An amused smile crosses my lips and I laugh at what I assume is Regina, as Alexandria calls her, quite fitting, diabolical plan to make me leave and break both of our hearts.
"Really? From what Emma tells us he's just your type. Strong, manly, and gorgeous body." Alexandria's lips curl at the words as she scowls at the source of the words. "I mean, the things I'd do to him if he wasn't a Kappa man."
I should end the video now, I have no interest in amusing their childish play, but I don't, because she is so damn cute when she is jealous and I want to see more of it.
"He's really not that great. Sure he's strong, but he's terribly cocky. Huge ego." She's got me there. She even gestures to the size of my big head and I chuckle.
"I hear his package is as big as his ego," a girl giggles.
Her whole face steams red and she is fuming. "Not, really, it's tiny." I never thought her calling my dick small could be so damn hot.
